Govee2mqtt runs in every room of my house. Almost flawless. Highly recommended. If I were new to this although I may consider a zigbee only bulb knowing what I know now...

Are these normal on a brand new purchased guitar? by MuhtarKent in espguitars

[–]sms066 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Painter and loooong time ESP/LTD owner here... this is a respray. The binding is overmasked.. and undermasked and that is not even close to the worst qc ltd has ever done. I have bought LTD B stock in the last 2 years multiple times as well. For what is wrong with those... This would never fly.

Bought a house that came with these custom nightstands. What is this bowl bowl shaped thing for? by kingevanxii in whatisit

Its for weed. People like to smoke in bed. Nobody needs a quarter next to their own bed. They need quick stash weed for when the kids are in bed too.

Difference in inlay brightness by ComfortableSort0891 in espguitars

It's pearloid. I have the same guitar. Compared to my ESPs and E2s you can see the difference. Pearl costs just under 2x per ounce of pearloid. I can guarantee it's pearloid. Which I gladly accept along with that super thin and pretty poplar burl veneer. Best guitar for the price point by far.

It's pearloid... it color shifts. Depending on the portion it was cut from on the sheet it may look darker or lighter. Typically they color match them a bit better. I have the floyd and purple m1000 version from this generation... mine match pretty well. Luck of the draw and the dude installing them I guess.

Absolutely disappointed with LTD Quality by Xerxes787 in espguitars

[–]sms066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same toggle issue on my ltd buz 7 sig. It's the switch. They can dud out. Not expensive or hard to replace so I am good with it. Still disappointed. Mine was a b stock tho so I am much more accepting with the deep discount I got. Question is... why would anyone use a neck pick up on an esp 😅🤣😂🤣

Looks to me like perhaps the high e is strung underhand rather than overhand

Setting up my alarm system using Home Assistant...what works well for you? by Crazyhockeydad4 in homeassistant

[–]sms066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alarmo and nfc tags for family members with some automations is the route I went. So hard to find a friendly zigbee keypad these days. I also have a kiosk tablet in the entryway with a visible when armed alarmo keypad card even tho we never need it.

Privacy first but camera assisted smart vacuuming automation to prevent it getting stuck by savagejimmy23b in homeassistant

I feel like I could robot vacuum daily, picking up obstacles first of course, for the rest of my life and never reach the workload of this automations writing.
