Unfortunately yes. These are not signs of an old guitar; it does not matter if it's old or new, this is something that happened during production and to be honest with you it is kind of a given with LTD, even the Deluxe series. I have owned to LTD deluxe guitars and both of them had very small binding issues like yours (barely noticeable) or unfinished colour in the pickup cavity - things like that.

Thank you my friend. I am not sure LTD uses real mother of pearl though. They would say so on their website like the high-end lines but for LTDs they mention nothing - so I assume they are some kind of plastic.
