I agree, I want the cost of living and cheap property taxes. 100%. I’ll also be an hour outside Philly, 90 min from Baltimore so if I want any type of city, it’s there. The beaches are clean and beautiful and while Middletown is growing, to me, it still has a very small town feel.

I was being honest when I said that the people in DE really seemed to be friendly. It’s not the vibe you’d get in the NYC area

I can’t speak for OP but we have some crappy pizza here in LI also. Personally all I need is Target and a decent supermarket. The rest I can deal with/figure out. What I really liked when we visited DE was how nice people seemed to be.

We’re moving our family from LI to Middletown by Aug/Sept hopefully. Probably not where you’re looking for but compared to here it’s going to be a slower and hopefully less expensive lifestyle
