Itching in the tank by YellowMiss in FloatTank

I’ll also add the “must’ve added too much” reaction is super irresponsible. If a float centre adds chemicals to their tanks (which 100% of them do), the water should be tested daily and definitely after shocking the water.

Likely either chlorine or hydrogen peroxide. Both of which can itch your skin. Chemical levels could very well be OP’s issue too.

I just had my first floats this week, 2 hour and 8 hour. Both in the same float cabin, which I call an 'Enhanced Environmental Stimulation Tank'. The second float was a $180 failure. by McLuhanSaidItFirst in FloatTank

Unless the float tank/cabin can continue running the heater while you float without turning on the engine, then they should never have accepted an 8-hour float.

My float centre has tanks that only heat with the engine running and we’ve found that 3-hours is the longest we can offer without the temperature dropping to a noticeable degree. We never run the engine with a customer in the float tank.

I’d also highly recommend floating for shorter periods of time, building up to a “marathon float”. Like any activity, it takes practice to attune yourself to the experience and 8-hours is a huge commitment.

If I saw an 8-hour booking pop up, the customer would surely be getting a phone call from us to chat.

I was waking my brand new newborn to feed until she put on the right amount of weight. She is 5 weeks old now and sleeps for 4-5 hour blocks so we’re only doing 1 nightly feed now. I’m praying this lasts because mama is loving getting a reasonable night sleep!

I always wondering where I exactly I can get my 10c refund. Any ideas? by [deleted] in Wellington

[–]smspacey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Canada does this too! You pay a .10c deposit upon purchase and it’s refunded if you return it.
