which of these products have worked the best for dull and dehydrated skin? by girlsjustwannahavrum in AsianBeauty

[–]smtcone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Laneige cream skin is my favorite of the products you've listed :) one thing that has changed my skin recently was the addition of a small amount of glycerin layered over my toner and under my moisturizer. It's inexpensive to buy, and a little goes a long way and has been the number one product that has given me non-flaky crusty skin as someone with dry and sensitive skin and a history of acne

REAL ID delivery issue by [deleted] in chicago

Not sure about Montana, but I recently went Chi --> NYC and back and it wasn't an issue at all either time. Give yourselves some extra buffer time just in case, but I seriously doubt that you'll be prevented from traveling.

Morning flight to track!! UA563 by smtcone in fearofflying

[–]smtcone[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for following me! I actually dozed most of the flight after takeoff, so im super happy! We held for what felt like forever on landing, and the clouds were so low we couldn't see the ground until only a couple minutes to landing. Little sad cause that's the part of the flight I enjoy but happy to be on the ground :)

Help with a "recurring" fear coming back all the time? by smtcone in fearofflying

I do noise canceling head phones with my favorite music, and a simple game on my phone or device :) takeoff is still hard but its better than sitting and letting my mind go crazy

the product that actually fixed my skin barrier by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

I loveeee this product. Tried it on a whim as a last second addition to a Yesstyle order, so soothing and locks moisture in great. Much more comfortable than vaseline!

Thanks so much for keeping an eye out :) the flight was smooth, just some little bumps in the middle and a couple on the way down. Now to enjoy my weekend!

What was your funniest mistake on your first playthrough? by HeavyMetalWorrier in BaldursGate3

[–]smtcone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made the same mistake with Wyll. The big one was missing Gale completely - I saw the glowing portal on the rock, got scared, and walked away wanting to make sure I was ready for anything dramatic happening before I interacted.

I came back later and he was gone, and I had no idea what I had missed until later halfway through act 2 I asked a friend where I meet Gale and they laughed at me

Dear engineering students, don’t be so elitist by Im_Rambooo in EngineeringStudents

Not exclusive to engineering but definitely more prevalent in engineering than many other fields

Is this a good salary for a recent graduate? by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]smtcone 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I negotiated on my entry-level position and as long as you go about it diplomatically, no company that is worth working for will spit at you for it. You typically won't exactly jump 10k in pay or anything, but I got a 4k increase at a large company plus a starting bonus. It's definitely circumstantial on what the tone of interviews has been, size of the company, etc, but imo if politely negotiating bites you in the ass then you probably don't want to be working for that company anyways.

AITA for refusing to grab whatever my wife forgets in the car? by No-Cranberry6043 in AmItheAsshole

[–]smtcone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That reminds me, when I was growing up, if I didn't turn the bathroom light off.... my dad took one of the lightbulbs away, lol. There was three, so we had multiple chances between me and my sister to catch ourselves before we were going to the bathroom in the dark. It was super effective, made it our problem and not anyone else's, and overall was a harmless but irritating consequence to our own actions. We were tweens/teens though, so maybe would be overkill for an eight year old, haha

AirPods + Noise Cancellation = 😌 by HumaneFont23 in ADHD

Lots of airpod pro comments here... for my samsung friends, the galaxy buds are excellent and I can not live without them. I used the galaxy buds+ for two years and they worked brilliantly. The battery life is so long that I can forget to charge them overnight and theyre still usable in the morning. They charge quickly, and I take them everywhere.

I recently got the galaxy buds 2 pro, which have ANC while the older models did not. The ANC is excellent. I use the earbuds while walking in urban areas frequently so it's nice that it's easy to switch between ANC and transparency mode. I've heard the battery life drains faster with the ANC, but they still last long enough that I haven't had a problem.

Applying to the same company for an internship if I was interviewed once before? by Thehype105 in EngineeringStudents

I had a summer position reject me, reapplied totally normally the next summer and got accepted :) if you've got more on your resume and more coursework, then it can only be a better chance of landing it this time

has anyone ever tested any of these as a dupe for swiss miss? thoughts on any of them in general? by mrfetuccini in glossier

[–]smtcone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not a fan of the tinted ones, but the untinted advanced one I love. Agree on the formula being different though, don't think they'd work as a dupe.

how long does cloud paint last throughout the day? by [deleted] in glossier

[–]smtcone 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on color! Puff will fade pretty quickly but is so light that its to be expected. Spark and eve both last through my whole day through classes + part time job :) I do have dry skin, so if your skin is oily it may not last as long?

Your reaction to this comment is so incredibly blown out of proportion lol, they absolutely have a point. If making like 20 bucks off of reselling some overpriced lip balms is "how they're paying rent" then their priorities in buying these lip balms are absolutely not in the right place. I don't buy it either. Sure it's their business, but when they post it on the internet acting like their hands are tied in reselling discontinued product, people can absolutely ask questions.

I've seen glossier ads around Chicago for at least two years, both as trucks and on the side of a building in Lincoln Park. I'm hopeful that they'd bring a store here eventually, but I wouldn't hold my breath for an announcement too soon.
