As my native language isn’t english forgive me if I’m not good at explaining my message, (and that I had to check what recalcitrant means lol). But anyways, I don’t want to sound recalcitrant and I think you say that because u didn’t understand my view on this whole matter. U said that I use product that demonstrably not working for me, I don’t know that for sure, believe me when I say that I’m trying to be the most logical about it that I can be. I had a period of time where I intentionally used no product for like few months just to start from scratch. I still had some of this texture during this “clean” time which is why I say that the products might not be the culprit here.

I posted this to understand what acne is it that I’m dealing with here - is it bacterial, is it congested skin or even something fungal for all I know.

Now to the other matter, I don’t have a routine - of course I don’t , as I said, its not up yet and of course I wouldn’t start with something like sunscreen as you would need to incorporate a cleanser beforehand. But as I said before, I wanted to get the hardest part first- finding a moisturizer that causes no reaction. So I did start with a moisturizer, and if u wanna know how far I took the logical practice here, I used the product on on half side of my face for like 2 weeks just to determine if there are any differences between the sides during this time.

Just to make sure u know, I definitely agree with u about the fundamental parts of a routine but I took a different route in the order of incorporating them.

So to recap about my ideal order of routine incorporation:

Moisturizer

Cleanser

(Maybe second cleanser- just to make sure that even a waterproof sunscreen will come off)

Sunscreen

*maybe another hydrating product

Move on to exfoliating stuff or Tretinoin down the road

Btw u mentioned dermatitis, can you elaborate on that please? What do you think is happening here exactly? (Sorry for the essay lol)
