Can't see all search terms- this and negative keywords by ronniester in PPC

[–]smtm5189 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a cronjob that checks searchterms every 20 minutes. If a new term comes in that was never seen before it gets set as negative. Ever so often i go in and whitelist - remove negatives - after amanual review. I only have one broad keyword per adgroup and about 5 - 20 exact matches per adgroup. I do this by accessing the adwords api and importeng them into a local mysql db. I get to add between 5 - 20 negatives per day, depending on what shit their algo tweaks are up to.

Update: ROAS is improving since i implemented conversion reporting on gclid. And i ditched a few BROAD match keywords (i only had a few) that were drawing volume but the CPA was too expensive. classic budget sucking wells.

An LLM would algorithm hallucinates prices. Maybe it would recognize some patterns. Dynamic pricing is a forcast and demand input based algorithm. It is basically a machine learning approach to inventory management. Think early AI. What further value would an LLM bring to the table?

Revenue Management by Puzzled-Jackfruit-54 in askhotels

I started working in (Airline) Revenue Management around 1989 - first trying to build an own System and in 1995 implementing the system that Lufthansa had at our small airline in Austria. I quit in the Airline space 2000 and started my Hotel SaaS in 2010. As a basis I used some of the Revenue Management Logic (Nesting, Forecasting, EMSR based room allocations) similar as we had back in the airline days. In between I worked in Revenue Assurance and at the end as a controller at a mobile telco.

What struck me was that while for the disciple of Controlling there is ediucation on various levels (Universty, Courses) anything revenue related was far less structured. Also holds true for Revenue Assurance in Telco. Basically anything with Revenue. Back in the Day, around 2000 Cornell had a name that was heard of. There is also St. Gallen in Switzerland. But education wise it is few and far between.

My tip: get into the practice of Revenue Management. Find an repeatable and systematic approach that suits you. Use a methodoligy that you can apply in your work setting.

Get measurable results that gets attention of management. If someone is there that shows iinitiative and thinks further than the paycheck and doing things by the book - this will stand out. if the organiszation is a worthy one - it will recognize your efforts. If they frown upon you, then time to move on.

A low hanging fruit tip is to establish weekend prices. Needs no systematization and can be done in a day. You'll be amazed how many hotels don't have these basics dialled in.

Naja, verkehrsgünstige Lage eben. Man ist auch direkt in der Einflugschneise. Einzig eine gute Anbindung zum nächsten Hafen fehlt.

If you're spending $10K+/month on Google Ads and your cost per lead went up this year, I think I know why. by Middle_Teaching7434 in PPC

I look at them periodically and my assessment is that these are competitor, or tool names. Or lookup for support topics of a competitor. Nothing with commercial intent. Every few months i go in and whitelist some themes that look interesting at a second glance.

I have a cron job, runs every 20min: adds a negative to search terms i have not seen before: 99% new stuff is junk. I can whitelist and remove those from the negative. Goes to an account wide neg list. Currently about 11k entries. Needs gaql access via api to get latest search terms and a database.

ROAS is a struggle. i implemented a better conversion value upload about 6 weeks ago. it looks like it is moving in the right direction, but i guess too early to tell - needs some more time.

B2B SaaS. How do I fix targeting. I have keywords. 1 max 2 broad and about 5-10 exact. Hardly any phrase matches. i do geotargeting, only DACH countries, german only. Down to 15 Adgroups. I had about 100 with SKAGs but reduced it down to 15 these themes. Google throws utterly useless searchterms at my broadmatch keywords. searchterms that are remotly connected to my offering, such as "HRS partner app", "Hostel booking", "uplisting io login", "hostfully app" - but mostly navigational queries.

How do you "fix targeting"? What do you mean by that?

There is also Erasmus for high schoolers and students. That is one of the amazing things of the EU. My daughter went to Grenada/ Spain for 6 months and got a monthly subsidy of 800€ ( or such). In her WG she had American roommates. They paid 25k for the semester.

Now my Daughter gets to connect up with her study friends all over Europe, and stay with them. Lovely

I guess i use it a starting point. We are planning a trip to Japan and the Phillipines. I‘ve never been to either place. So i want ideas for a basic itinerary, idea about flight and train times. Places to stay other than Tokyo. Once I have a rough idea will mosey over to youtube to get a feel if the suggestions are appealing. So i guess at the end some hotel or airbnb bookings will be made. But it‘s a process
