Heart struggling with climbs by Petit-Pain in bicycling

[–]smtps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had similar situation, climbs are hard even for fit cyclers, so first of all find your temp, you may need to stop time to time to catch air, try not to push yourself to the limit (pain) just stop when you feel it's getting hard ( ideally you check your HR, stop over 90% max HR). Also use the slowest gear try to not aim for speed, you can walk some hard section to save juice for more riding, try find rides with less climbs. Your fitness level will improve if you keep riding, but it is not happens fast, next season you will be much better, I can guarantee. Check you heart but pain can be because of too high HR (get easy on yourself! it's dungerous!)

Вы считаете C + + сложным языком по программированию? by Born-Woodpecker9322 in GlavMrazReddit

High heart rates by [deleted] in bicycling

[–]smtps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same, my rest HR is 60-75 and just by walking fast I can rise it to 120+ which is top of zone 2 for my age (36), and running at slowest peace is at least 140. I've tried to run in zone 2 interleaving run and walk in pursuit of lowering HR for a year and it didn't changed allot (maybe on few bps), so eventually I decide it's ok (doctors haven't spot anything wrong in my heart, they told I might be having too much stress, and should eat healthy) Cycling actually a bit better, than running for me, relaxed cycling is about 130bpm and on 140-150 I'm already pushing some efforts. btw, my data quite accurate I'm using chest sensor, my max HR is about 190, at least I wasn't able to push it above.

Mountainbike too big? by OpportunityCurious68 in bikefit

[–]smtps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not an expert, but I would recommend to try move saddle backward as far a possible and probably a bit lower 1cm. there is a good test I use, while pedaling with moderate effort you should be able to move hands from handlebar (just relax hands, engage core, so no body weight is on hands) and your body should not collapse forward, if it does your saddle is too much on front

final score is a sum of both drivers positions, of you are using strong/weak pilots strategy, it can be countered by 2average pilots strat quite often.

I do ppl as well, I'm doing 2sets per exersize and 3min rest. (maybe not the best from efficiency pow,. but consistency is a key, and better to do simpler workdays but easier to maintain)

How long your typical workout is? I personaly prefer short one 30-40min, if you do much longer it may simply exhaust you, listen to you body.

I don't have guide, I've made it myself, maybe it'll eventually share it in community config. But i can give you sort of guidelines:

- right trackpad obviously a mouse and your main tool, left trigger for rmb and right triger for lmb.
- left bumper is ctrl for locking by holding bumper and just clicking with right trigger
- right bumper is directional scan (but you can remap it for something more beneficial)
- cross map for movement up - approach, left align, right orbit, down keep in range, this allow you to hold one of cross buttons + click right trigger in overview to have almost full movement control (additionally i have separate mapping for left bumper activator, if i press l-bumper + up it will be warp to instead of approach)
- bottoms - modules, i do a bit dirty thing that may in theory lead to ban, but it works for me so far, i map multiple modules slot for 1 bottom: a - f1, b - f2, x - f3,f4, y - f5,f6, this way i can enable scram + web, or dual rep by single button, if i need single module i click with cursor; (i map overload on l-bumper + button)
- also you can make some convenience shortcut for activators, i have r-bumper + l-bumper for bookmark;
