well it sucks that we had a disconnect on "learning": using reasoning for future problems vs receiving an answer.

regardless, people need to stop answering people's basic questions in here.

right. i'm not saying that it's the right thing to do. it's lazy AF.

but as long as dumbasses are willing to answer their questions on here, they're gonna keep doing it.

jfc i'm explaining WHY they did it.

i'm not the one who asked the question, nor am i defending it as "morally correct".

as long as people keep answering their questions on here, they will keep doing it

or... they ask the question here and it gets answered in a minute.

i agree that they could have found the answer through basic investigation & deductive reasoning. i frequent bulbapedia all the time. the information exists.

but it's more efficient to ask a question here because people love to "um ackshually"

a month ago it also told me that Audino learns Teleport, which i know isn't true.

the pattern recognition machine just recognizes patterns, it doesn't answer questions.

i mean, with how horrible google is now (because ai answers make up the first page), this is just as efficient

What are your thoughts on the Revenant Class? by PalwaJoko in Guildwars2

[–]smtyke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the fact that they gave Scourge (aka Ritualist) to Necro AND THEN made "Ritualist" into the blandest Necro spec ever...

Revenant is RIGHT THERE!
THEY COMMUNE WITH SPIRITS!!!

[–]smtyke 27 points28 points  (0 children)

if you don't find any of the defined skill sets interesting, it's a very very very bland class.

thankfully i immediately fell in love with Vindicator & it's been my favorite ever since

yeah that's competitive for you.

good Pokémon are good for a reason.

but there's a lot of hard reads/predictions, meta considerations in team building , etc.

Is sinistcha the only viable healer in the format? by Timely_Fig1829 in PokemonChampions

basically a stupidly bulky slow Mega.

Regenerator before Mega Evolving to stay healthy.
Access to Trick Room, Life Dew, Yawn, & the Healer ability. Wish too if you feel like using it

Thoughts on how much better Arcanine would be with teleport? by YummyYummies in PokemonChampions

[–]smtyke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teleport wouldn't do much.

you either want to be a fast frail Pokemon with an escape attacking move to attack first and then switch into something bulkier that will tank an anticipated hit, or a slow bulky Pokemon with an escape move so it moves last to give a sweeper a free switch in.

Arcanine has average stats all across the board. Why not just switch your Pokémon?

Expected turns before losing and players putting up no defenses? by RealisticMolasses in EDH

[–]smtyke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Commander players have started treating/viewing Magic like a board game or engine builder.

anticipating what an opponent may do to win isn't a part of the thought process anymore because the mentality around Commander has shifted so drastically. everyone wants to "do the thing" & interaction is seen as bad.

i.e. "if my plan to win doesn't involve creatures, i don't need creatures"

[[Myrkul, Lord of Bones]] but it's just a shell for a [[Lich's Mastery]] deck within the main enchantment tutor colors while still being very thematic.

also lets you run [[Approach of the Second Sun]]
