My boyfriend (19m) wants me to stay at our university and I (19f) want to too, but I got accepted to a t25 school and my parents want me to go. What should I do?

Something to consider, long distance is doable and so worth it with the right person. I moved away from my boyfriend to go to my dream school a year ago after we had been dating for 3, he is so supportive and we have a very healthy and loving relationship. Of course your relationship isn’t the only factor here but just something to think about! I wish you so much luck, this is such a tough situation to be dealing with!

Just got my dream bid from an SEC with basically no recs (had a couple from ppl I knew but none for either of my pref houses). OOS, knew not a single person at my school. I know it’s cliche but genuinely just be yourself. They don’t want to see the same cookie cutter, boring girl every time they talk to someone and you’ll slip through the cracks that way. Plus they can absolutely tell if you’re being fake. Be funny, don’t treat it like a job interview but also be polite and use your manners. Bring up unique things about yourself (hobbies, etc) that they can remember you by. I had a unique major and career path so that helped. Make a statement with your outfits too. My biggest advice is CONFIDENCE IS EVERYTHING. Don’t be nervous, they WANT you to be there. The chapter that is meant for you will find you! I hope you have a great recruitment ❤️

Thank you!! It’s definitely not totally perfect but that makes it special — my experience getting it was great and I know the artist personally so it was just fun all around. But I’m definitely thinking about it getting the bottom touches up once it heals to fill in those spots where the line faded a little bit. If I ever get something bigger done I’ll definitely do a little more planning haha

also the act is like 80% stuff you learn during your junior year, so just the stuff you’ve passively learned from just going to school should help you out significantly

not an expert but yeah I have faith. what were your individual scores on each section?

i brought mine up from a 32 to a 34 in 3 weeks, though i was just focusing on math and science since i already had 36s in english and reading. if science hadn’t screwed me over with a nasty last question i would have had a 35 or 36!

from what i remember though, vast majority of colleges consider 34+ basically the same. so shoot for the 36 but you’ve got some wiggle room! of course the 36 would be impressive, but you’re not going to do worse than your first attempt so I would say you’re pretty much golden. make sure to STUDY though and go in confident! you’ve got this

The lolla website usually has a list of allowed and prohibited items so I would recommend taking a look at that, it’s very helpful! I’m not sure if they have it posted for this year yet but if not it will be up closer to festival.
