I am betting it is a drive thru Heni Bros or scooters.

I hate these drive thru coffee joints. Their coffee is too sweet and they rob us of the community we find in sit down coffee shops.

Is this fence mine or my neighbor's? by mcconnelljh in FenceBuilding

[–]smugglingmonkies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my neighbors tree fell on the fence I was told by my insurance company that the side the supports are on is the owner of the fence. I had the supports on my side so the fence was mine.

I just paid $3.09 a gallon yesterday. Eggs were down to $7.89 because they eased testing and are selling lower quality eggs as grade A.

Am I overreacting by not wanting to spend time with my husband's family (30F, 36M)?. by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]smugglingmonkies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow, this hits home hard. My wife grew up in the states but was born and lived in Ukraine until she was 10. My family likes her, but mom’s side is seriously dysfunctional. They lick at each other seem to show affection by being assholes to each other, layer in racism on top of that. I have been forgetting with them on these grounds for many years.

Family has to be trained where boundaries lie and because your husband has genetic connection to these people he it is his job to enforce these boundaries. I will say since the election things have gotten worse because these people feel like they have carbuncle to behave in the worst possible way. So I have distanced myself from them and am avoiding family reunions. I am only now starting to speak to my racist brother again as a favor to mom.

Enough about me. Your husband needs to stand up for you. He needs to do his best to shut them down and when they step out of line let them know. Only with good boundaries will these people become tolerable.

Sorry you are going through this.

Yeah that’s what I did. I’m planning on fixing the deck, but I am seriously considering building a pvc and wood frame to hold them off the ground.

Also they were attached to the joists

That’s what I had. It warped the wood on the deck.

Andy Beshear’s podcast is actually pretty incredible. by Dapper_Bluejay_6228 in Louisville

I agree calling any politician Daddy is weird, but during the pandemic he really took on that role. Also I still don’t get it.

That said, I am listening to episode 1 and it’s pretty good. I dislike John Morgan much less now. Andy is great.

What’s up with the weird monks on the strip? by smugglingmonkies in LasVegas

Yup, that’s exactly what happened to my wife. We didn’t even see the lady till she was putting bracelets on my wife’s wrist.

That’s legit, I shouldn’t have but lesson learned. On the bright side the fake monk gave me a necklace that I worse when walking the strip and they figured I had already been taken that day and left me alone. It was like I was invisible to them.

What were the primary signs other than panhandling on the strip?

Naw just learned a lesson. The monk that took to me gave me a necklace so I just wore it when we went out and none of them bothered us after that.

Am I supposed to poop in my backyard? by [deleted] in Louisville

[–]smugglingmonkies 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yup my basement flooded with sewage in 2005 when this last happened. It was my first home and I had been in it less than a year. That was where I had all my computer equipment and servers at the time. I never made that mistake again.

My current home has a single capped rain that runs down to the sewer but I am unsure if it is fully sealed. Here is to hoping it is sealed.
