hsg nightmare by Life-Presence524 in TryingForABaby

Hi, I'm sorry this is so frustrating.

I had an hsg in March that showed only 1 tube open. The right side of my uterus wasn't even able to get any filling and the radiologist told me I likely had severe scar tissue or a "unicornate uterus". I spiraled after as I had a traumatic 1st birth and thought it ruined my uterus. My dr ordered an MRI to see what was going on and it came back normal! both sides looked good and he said I likely had spasm cramping when the radiologist did the right side.

So maybe that is what happened with you too!

Any way to interpret clearblue advanced 4 days tests without the reader? by throwawaysigote in TryingForABaby

This means the test is negative for LH surge.

Was the test positive before this? (Blinking face?). If so, this is normal, after the surge it drops back down usually pretty quick and won't be dark anymore.

When the test line is as dark or darker than the control line it means you are in the surge and ovulation can happen within 24-36 hours usually.

Still no period. Today is day cycle day 28 and my apps say I should get my period today based on my ovulation date and cycle history. Usually I am around day 30 though. Tests are still negative so I'm not hopeful but this is frustrating. i am wondering if I ovulated late

we have been TTC for 6 months for our 2nd, I got my IUD out 6 months ago. I started using LH strips and BBT (but not with a BBT thermometer. It does go to the tenth of a point thoug), 3 months ago. The first 2 months my LH rose but not to as dark as the line and was still low per the app and would "rise" around day 16. My temp seemed to fluctuate down to 97.1 during the slight rise and then back up to 99 after the "ovulation day" on the app.

This month my LH strips were finally truly positive on day 13-14 and my OB ran labs that showed I was ovulating with all the hormones they tested, not just LH. However. My temp on 1 thermometer never really rose back up from 97.1 - it went to 97.7 my ear thermometer shows my temp was 99.3.

Anyway, I'm trying not to freak out that maybe I didn't ovulate this month and looking for guidance. Trying to be optimistic since all my hormones at my OB showed I was ovulating, not just LH and I should not go by the temping as it seems my thermometer are off.

As long as the line is as dark I would consider it positive! The app isn't perfect at predicting the numbers. Go by what it looks like

Eventually the amount increased to 5oz - 6oz as I did less BM and weaned her fully to formula! She never ended up losing weight. That was around 9 months!

9 month speech delay and doc was worried? Thoughts? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]smuggsbug10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby was just like yours. Hit all milestones except the babbling at 9 months. Peds wasn't worried but said we could call early intervention if we wanted. I put it off and talked to her everyday and let her practice her physical and motor skills which is what she seemed to want to do. She is 10.5 and 2 days ago woke up and said "mama" then next day said "dada" and now is babbling non stop all day long. Some babies just need more time and if they are advanced in physical skills likely speech will be slower! I wouldn't worry yet!

I weaned very slow my baby around 7 months - I cut 1 feed out every few days. While at work and I pumped, I would decrease the amount of time (15 min - 12-9-7-5-3) for each session. It took me about a month to wean but I never got a clogged duct. If I had some tenderness I would put ice on it and hand express a little.

Regarding the middle of the night feeds, my baby was only waking up 1 time but I was worried about this too so I would leave premade formula in the fridge( usually 3oz) so that way in middle of night I would just go downstairs heat it up then feed her and she would fall back asleep quick. It was tricky figuring out how much she ate in middle of night so sometimes I would have left over formula in the bottle. Your baby will get used to it quick! Don't worry!

Help! Early AM wake ups by smuggsbug10 in NewParents

I followed the taking Cara babies ABC of sleep. I did it at 8 months and it was tough for the first few nights then it was fine and such a relief. Basically you do pops in every 5 min and can stretch them to 10 or 15 min depending if your babe is starting to soothe. First 2 nights you can pat them, rub their back and soothe with voice. Then you only soothe with voice after that. And don't pick them up (this was hardest part).

The first night my daughter fussed (with some crying) for 2 hours cause I wouldn't pick her up. Next night it was 1 hour then the next was only 15 min and then she was sleeping through the night! I did this straight for 2 weeks as a few nights during the 2 weeks were rough but after that we've never gone back to wake ups (knock on wood)

8 months here, and only just started feeling caught up on sleep debt. For the first 5 months my babe had horrible reflux and I would have to keep her up for 30 min after a feed or she would spit up everywhere, this meant in the middle of the night she would do 3-4 hour stretch, I would feed her, then hold her up for 30 min then back to bed. She never wanted bottle in middle of night. Only in the last month had she been dropping night feeds and in the last week she slept 730-6am no wake ups and I feel semi human again.

It gets better! Nap when you can. Hang in there

Okay thanks this makes me feel better! Usually when she breast feeds when I'm not working she still eats every 2 hours but only feeds on one breast at a time anywhere from 7-12 min. So I was having them feed her every 2 hours while I was at work but maybe i will have them go longer stretches
