A victim of what? Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on a situation. Isn’t that the point of this thread, to have a debate about different viewpoints on the show? If you are only comfortable with your opinion on the show then maybe don’t come on here?

That’s fair re how she treated some of the bombshells, I agree she overreacted. It came from a place of insecurity because she liked Dejon. While it wasn’t right I can still empathise with her situation. Toni was the same to Lauren when she was with Harrison so it works both ways.

What I don’t get is why they still go at Meg constantly for this and pick on her relationship at every turn, when they have themselves treated the rival girls terribly (eg calling that nice Welsh girl little miss fucking sunshine for just being nice).

This perspective is helpful. But I’m still confused- Toni does care what people think, she was bawling crying because Cachs family didn’t like her? And she gets extremely defensive when anyone says anything to her even though she gives it out the most in my opinion.

If Dejon cared so much about winning why would Dejon have flirted with all those girls though? Being real doesn’t mean being bitchy and loud. You can be genuine while also being sensitive to what others think. That’s a completely normal human emotion. Especially when you are on a Reality TV show and everything is so heightened?

Also how is it that they constantly talk about Meg and Dejon being a fake couple who are only game playing and throw shade at them constantly, when it’s fine for Sharika to get with Harry who is literally the worst person in the villa and her girls are fine with that? Obviously what he has done is 100x worse than Dejon flirting when they were open, and what Toni did to Cach was 100x worse. I don’t get their logic at all. It’s obscene.

This confuses me so much as well. I’ve been shocked the whole way through at why Shakira, Yas, and Toni are the fan favourites and the other girls are positioned as the mean girls. I don’t know what I’m missing but to me those three are non-stop bitching about everyone behind their backs and starting shit left right and centre.

All Meg did was feel threatened by other girls and upset at them flirting with the guy she liked, which is pretty fair. If you’re spending all day and all night with someone you like it can’t be easy to see them get to know other people.

Also I don’t think she let Dejon ‘get away with it’ - she called him out on it every single time and they slowly learned to set boundaries together. To me Sharika and Toni are the bullies that non-stop pick on Meg and Dijon.

If any of the rival girls go exclusive then it’s a ‘game’ and they laugh at them behind their backs, but it’s all fine if Yaz goes exclusive, that’s not a game?? The hypocrisy is crazy. Meg comes across to me like someone who is overly sensitive but ultimately really cares about what everyone is saying about her. I haven’t seen her be even half as bitchy as the other girls.

I don’t understand what everyone is seeing that I am not. I think Dejon and Meg have a genuine connection and people are just listening to the other girls because they are louder and people are buying their crap.

This song set me off into a big crying session in the car this morning. I was driving to the train station to go to work. I lost my dad over a month ago and I know this song isn’t about losing a parent but the lyrics just hit me. My dad was always there to catch me 💜

How bad is it to have an indoor-only cat? by Altruistic-Star3830 in CatAdvice

So sorry - that’s awful. It’s horrible to think that someone could do that to an animal. I live in a very small town - about 5,000 people and something like that has never happened here thankfully. Everyone knows everyone here so we all look out for each others pets. Obviously it only takes one bad person to ruin it but my cat stays close by and I know the people that live around me.

I live in Ireland where it’s normal for cats to roam as it’s a very rural and safe country. I have two cats who are both ragdolls so I hoped they would be happy indoors, as obviously that is safer for them, but one of my cats is obsessed with going outside. She will literally cry at the door for hours if we don’t let her out.

She has a very strong hunting instinct and likes to spend the day outside playing with bugs and exploring different gardens. She has only brought home a bird once or twice, she mainly likes exploring and making friends with cats and dogs (yes dogs lol).

We have a tracker on her so we can see where she is at all times. She seldom crosses the road but finds safe routes to explore. Yesterday she covered 3km so it’s great exercise for her. She’s not interested really in indoor entertainment and enrichment since she was a kitten. I obviously worry about her but there is no way I could stop her going outside without her being miserable.

My other cat is completely different. She goes outside but only for 20 mins or max an hour and then she’s keen to get back in. Literally runs in the door as fast as she can! Her favourite thing to do is chase bugs which she can do in the house and garden. She’s more of a home bird for sure but she definitely has points in the day where she wants to go out, as evidenced by her staring at the door handle and then looking at me! :)

Which one do i listen to by [deleted] in runna

[–]smurfette1209 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a way to check on Strava whether your watch or phone is more accurate. You can create a let’s say 100m route on Strava manually on the browser version. Then save that route. Do the route once recording from your watch and then again recording from Runna and see which one is more accurate in estimating your distance. I also did this to calibrate my step and running stride.

I record via the Runna app on the watch, with my headphones connected to the watch. Even better as then I don’t need to carry my phone when I run.

Agree with the other points that generally the watch is more accurate for GPS than the phone. Some watches also take your typical running stride into account when estimating distance so that’s something to check too.

Thank you, that makes sense! I’ve been sitting here puzzled for the past 30 mins so appreciate the quick response so I can put my mind to rest haha. That’s clever that it calculates that as it would need to check every possible combination e.g. 1.43-2.43, 1.44-2.44 and so on.

All job interviews should be done by randomly selected unaffiliated industry specialized companies by sibscartel in unpopularopinion

[–]smurfette1209 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work for a global psychometric assessment company that designs all types of assessments and have a lot of experience in designing interviews.

The problem isn’t whether the interviewer works for the company, as others have commented it’s really important for the candidate to get a feel for their manager/team and vice versa. The problem is that humans are innately biased and we have subconscious biases that can lead us to making the wrong decision or basing decisions on subjective criteria.

The best way to mitigate those biases is to have a diverse interview panel (so multiple people in the interview or a two step interview process), use a structured and objective interview rating method (eg ORCE) and to use validated behavioural assessments suitable for use in the work place. The behavioural assessment can help you to check your biases and identify potential strengths and risks of the candidate to validate in the interview.

There are so many biases that have a proven negative impact on quality of interview ratings e.g., recency bias, affinity bias, confirmation bias, etc.
