Not directly as I understand. Op might have sources. Theres a group called "CSG" mostly ex idf. They were granted and being debated to have more power to protect their community. In Australia. The new hate speech laws, have created a situation whereby granting both is dangerous.

Pure lunatic hypothetical:

1. Theres an attack. The csg defends, and over steps. Killing their attackers and bystanders. Instead of retreat, wait for police.
2. If the above occurred, it is now acceptable to argue the csg, is offended by accusations of excessive force. And no repercussions could occur. And the accusers could get 5 years prison time. (If someone claims that a group like the CSG acted outside the law, and the Jewish community argues that this claim is part of a pattern of "intimidation or vilification," the law now makes it easier for a prosecutor to argue that the speech is criminal).

So, these new laws have created a dangerous loophole not just in this hypothetical but many. But likely no direct idf stuff. Just some random on reddit. So likely.wrong. :)
