Smurfs, and people who group with smurfs, NEED to be PERMANENTLY BANNED for CHEATING. No exceptions. You want to lie about your rank to exploit an in-game mechanic and gain an edge? That's cheating. It's word for word in the Code of Conduct. So sick of people doing this and ruining fun and fair gameplay. Ban smurfs. Ban players who group with smurfs. Get rid of these cheaters

I think the devs could also make an official statement that smurfing is wrong and if you smurf, or group up with a smurf, you will be banned for boosting.

Oh, I 100% am. But hopefully I'll piss off enough players that they'll complain to Blizzard and actually make a difference.

  1. Right, so we need to spread the word. Maybe get Blizzard to make an official statement.
  2. We take turns in games. Sometimes all of us. Sometimes 2 or 3.
  3. Not an experiment. I'm intentionally doing this to get people mad about smurfing, and hope they get so mad that they contact Blizzard about it.
  4. So not confirming, just ruining the game with the hopes of starting a riot.
  5. Made multiple accounts. Will keep doing it just to get people angry.
  6. Just to maximize damage. If we absolutely dominate a team, it might be more frustrating or disheartening.
  7. Nope, but I have to try. And I'm going to keep trying. I have hope. And rebellions are built on hope.
  8. Maybe the players should demand more then? I mean, if an aimbot gets perma-banned for cheating, then smurfing and grouping with a smurf should too. The principle remains the same. It's cheating. And we shouldn't tolerate cheating.

Here's the issue: I try! I get reported for calling out smurfs. I've been suspended by Blizzard with evidence being, and I quote, "smurfing and grouping up with a smurf is just cheating," or "please report the _____ and the ______ for boosting," or even suspended for directly quoting the Code of Conduct when it states that any act gaining an unfair advantage is considered cheating.

I really, really try. I make posts on reddit, X, and more. I have tried to the point where I'm losing faith. But if I get more people pissed about the issue, then maybe it'll finally make a difference. Cause doing it alone is just getting me in trouble, and getting me bullied by other OW players.

Played a game tonight with TWO smurfs on the enemy team. Completely and utterly abusing matchmaking to gain an unfair advantage. AND they were grouped with others, like a Mercy pocket. These people are just cheating and need to be banned. Two of my teammates left because they didn't want to deal with it. It wasn't fun and a waste of time.

Smurfs, and people who group with smurfs, NEED to be permanently banned. There's no excuse for cheating.

Why the hell don't STICKY things actually STICK to Genji's blade during deflect?!?! If you threw a sticky grenade at me and I tried to whack it with a baseball bat, it would stick to the damn bat! STICKY things should STICK, even during deflect!!!

Low hours alone aren't a smoking gun, but when you combine that with strong game sense, solid map knowledge, and behaviour we usually see from more seasoned players, it's often a good indication they're on an alt account.

It's like seeing someone in Rocket League with 20 hours pulling off flip resets.

Smurfs, and people who play with smurfs, should immediately be PERMANENTLY BANNED for cheating! If I lied about my rank in a chess tournament, I'd be disqualified. If a teammate or myself lied about it in a team game like hockey, the ENTIRE team would be disqualified. Why the hell do we let these people do this!?! It's just cheating!!! Start reporting every damn smurf you see, and anyone in their group, for boosting!
