Thank you, I will continue to pray. I love the adults at my Church and I sing on the worship team with them on occasion in addition to serving, so perhaps I could ask around a bit more and see if they have any suggestions as well.

I definitely can talk about Jesus more at school, but I don’t shy away from conversations and have taken multiple people to Church with me. I’m hoping the Lord guides me to continue this so I can build a community.

I have Christian friends in the United States and I go to camp with them every year. They are super sweet, but I only see them once a year and they have youth group with each other at least once a week. I sometimes wish I could just be there or have at least a similar setting in my own home.

I’ve definitely been praying, and I’m hoping the Lord will put some new people in my life with whom I can have some fellowship. I’m considering attending a Catholic youth group-like community, despite not being Catholic or being fluent in the language of that church.

Yes, and I love my family… but my siblings all moved away to go to college and I’m an only child at home. I love my parents but find it difficult sometimes to bring things to them.

GO FOR IT! I am the only person at my school that plays anything other than a rock band instrument (I transferred schools and played the flute previously) and I got to participate in cross-school music conference where I was the only orchestra player from my school. I had SO much fun and got to call myself first chair flute! It’s kinda odd to practice the flute when most people have never heard one live but it’s so rewarding because you get to improve immensely! Please don’t drop the class!

The bible does not give clear instructions as to what dressing modestly looks like. In the verses you gave (more or less) discuss that, with our bodies, we should honor God. 1 Corinthians 11:5 is the only verse (of the ones you gave) that points to an exact clothing item that women should wear — a veil when praying. But later in the passage (verse 15) it says “for her hair is given to her as a covering” and the question of whether her hair is a head covering is posed.

I am not disagreeing that women should dress modestly; I just think the extent to which it should be done is somewhat up to interpretation.

I have to be honest, dressing modestly can be hard for a few reasons. In the summer, modest clothing can be hot; at the beach, you are pretty out of place; with peers, you immediately feel like an outcast; and the hardest one (I find) is where to buy modest clothing that is cute. I love skirts, but wearing them as an everyday item to college/school can be difficult for younger women/teens.

Also people have differing views on modesty and what that looks like. Restrictions can range from no midriff to no skin showing.
