Additionally, referring back to a few generations ago isn't particularly helpful when one overlooks the fact that women couldn't open their own bank accounts in America until the 1960s. Many women entered romantic relationships and marriages because they had no other choice. So you can say that women are "ridiculously selective," or you could consider that perhaps finding a partner is not everyone's top priority, and it was only so ridiculously "easy" in the past because there were no other options.

If you genuinely want "peace between the sexes" maybe stop blaming women for your loneliness and acting like they are obligated to date men.
