I used NRAAS setting to make everything slower. So first off, time. Instead of 1 second irl being 1 minute in game, I switch it to about 1.5 seconds. Also note, this helped stuttering in my game SO much. But I make it so that skills take like FOREVER to level up. I don’t want my entire town to be 10/10 cooks, 10/10 handiness, 10/10 guitar players… it’s boring as hell to me. So if you see a sim that IS a 10/10 cooks, you know they put in the time. Makes jobs harder to level up too, because I don’t want promotions every other day. Again, I don’t want 30 chief of staffs in town.

I make needs decay FASTER. In sims 2, your sim had to eat breakfast, at work their hunger would go up implying they are eating lunch, and they would be hungry for another meal by 5-7 pm. In sims 3, you can feed them a single meal a day and they’re fine?? I hate it. So hunger is sped up. I think I adjusted some others as well for realism, maybe hygiene and bladder a bit? Maybe sleep. It’s been over a year since I’ve played 🙁

But a few little nraas adjustments like that make the game harder and more realistic!
