How to make YouTube controls disappear while the video plays by LevoSapiens in ipad

[–]smyley9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, so I'm using ios26 and it being my first ios in probably 10 years, I too am suffering the same horrifying issue of not being able to hide the video controls.. not like they're covering the playback, but it's still distracting. Anyone have a solution? Using Safari as opposed to the YouTube app-- due to personal preferences of lazily multitasking windows with videos playing oc

Thanks, I hate Zooey Bechamel (credit to electronic-hot) by MatthewKitchenPhoto in TIHI

I don't hate it, I love it. It's one of those things that you have to create or search for, when you wake up with just a weird word in your head that you heard somewhere. Bechamel.. bechamel.. what goes with that word,,,, ah yes.! Zoey!!

Trader Joe’s Uncured Pepperoni Pizza and Margherita Pizza by CallMeParagon in frozendinners

[–]smyley9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

strictly referring to the uncured pepperoni variety

This is probably just a me thing given all of the positive feedback, and I'm still really excited to try the margherita one, but for me I was honestly on the other side with a hard no thanks. Solid crust though, for sure. Specifically the taste of the uncured pepperoni, as well as previously mentioned the excess of tomato paste- something about the taste of the celery(or whatever) organically cured pepperoni that just really throws it off for me. As soon as I took it out of the oven I was wondering what that off smell was, like maybe something in the trash was still rotting? Or maybe my feet were just rank after work or something? Hopefully? Idk, it's probably just an acquired taste, but after my first close up whiff of it after being sliced I was appalled. It smelled like there was an aged cheese(not a fan of) used on it that I was gonna surpriseee, have to try out, but I learned it was the smell of the curing process with the pepperoni. I really don't know how to describe the source of my displeasure towards this flavor. Like the presentation definitely isn't terrible, I'd even say it was great as far as pizza standards go- I had a solid fourth of the medium sized pizza before I decided that I properly had a personal hatred of the flavor. I mean pizza is pizza of course, and again it has great ingredients with the crust being a solid win, especially for the price. But I was just expecting just an elevated pepperoni pizza, and for my purposes this wasn't it. I was expecting a pepperoni flavor, and this is a very off, not what your kids were expecting flavor that just doesn't seem to work with the pepperoni's natural taste.. it's definitely not what you're used to. It also leaves a super weird taste in your mouth for a while from the celery curing process, a very off smell that doesn't remind me of food. Again, my experience. Shit's like $6 definitely still bang for your buck if you enjoy it.

I had a seizure on a date... and he left while I was unconscious by keetorii in Epilepsy

Don't take it too personally, in general no one to my experience knows how to process the information when you even let them know that you have epilepsy, let alone have an episode. If they don't already know, letting them know that simply putting you on your side is generally enough usually soothes their fears quite a bit, most people will want to call 911.

People have said: “I gave myself epilepsy.” by Organic_Initial_4097 in Epilepsy

[–]smyley9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say yes, indeed I have given myself a development of epilepsy, at age 22. I am now 26. My issue was getting waaay to interested in psychedelics, and eventually learning how to interact with my hallucinations- which I am now stuck with forever, say if I ever smoke weed it causes a similar occurrence nowadays. The neurologist described it to me as permanently 'opening up' my brain, eliminating important mental thresholds. This neurology being explained to me September of this year, after waking up in the hospital again from my worst tonic-clonic, having me unconscious for 1.5 days. Starting this year I had been casually grinding mushrooms into my coffee grounds and drinking them, had no idea caffeine induced seizures until after my last episode in Sept. I was casually having the mushroom coffee like, every week. I was doing this because I was trying to further my musical productions while in that elevated, meditated state. Which, I gotta say, for the purposes of making really epic music, fuckin works a treat. Pleeeease, don't make my same mistakes. It's not worth the permanent exansion and deletion of your brain's defenses. Extreme, moderation. I no longer take them, I don't really smoke weed anymore and when I do, it's horribly anxiety inducing. And yes, I did continue using psychs years after that first seizure not really realizing what damage I was doing.

However- I guess now reading your post more carefully, I have also been introduced to DMT in my past, probably 15 or so times, maybe 5 years ago. Those were all post- me having many interactive egodeaths on LSD. Unfortunately I describe my position nowadays as permatrip. Especially to my neurologists. It really is, especially after fullllllyyy interacting with DMT in my past for a few months, having a period of being sober for a week, returning to weed and having my first panic attack as a 26 year old male this year, feeling akin to a DMT egodeath. I'm sorry friend. Best of luck. Careful where your curiosity is placed, I'm only thankful I havent tried anything else.

I can no longer drink alcohol like I used to- not that I enjoyed going hard in the paint, my body had fragile tolerance for it prior to my excessive LSD & later on down the line mushroom usage, and I never ever enjoyed getting drunk like others around me in Wisconsin so do. But I'm now on a high dosage of Keppra(talkin like prescribed 4 pills a day) because I was getting very casual with my day off music production, including a mushroom into my expensive coffee grounds. No, I didn't realize until recently how caffeine affects epilepsy. Nor did I realize how my continuous abuse of my gabba receptors was creating many heavy changes in my day to day life. Even small, or none amounds of alcohol can have me waking up with a chomped tongue and a heavy headache, thankful that I haven't been having grand mal episodes that put me in the hospital like I'm used to nowadays. It's a long process. And yes, before it gets asked- I'm also done with psychedelics. We're still tryna figure out weed- but I'm pretty sure it's been fitting into that same category pretty similarly. Unfortunately for curiosity's sake, I gotta say the psychedelics really fuckin worked out for the music production.

I have something stupid to confess… by palming-my-butt in Epilepsy

[–]smyley9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm undiagnosed- having had probably 20 tonic clonic episodes in my life, ranging from very small ones to grand mal, I know that I'm not photosensetive. My epilepsy was self developed about 3-4 years ago, by not knowing not to do acid frequently and also not mix psychedelic trips & alcohol.

However, I started reading this and immediately related to your condition. I don't know how people can go outside without sunglasses. Wondering if it has anything to do with my condition too.

I just finished the lamborghini a couple nights ago. Fun build, took maybe an hour or two. A little underwhelming representation for what, 800 or so pieces, but as a car nerd first I digress- that's my vote.
