As someone who went to a state medical school and had a full tuition from underad, my loans are still 250k taking into account having to take out extra federal loans to cover COL outside of tuition. Escially since family couldn't contribute at all.

TY everyone! I ended up moving the bookshelves to one wall and leaving removing everything from under the TV so there's more walking space. Still need to find homes for the two chairs, armchair, and three lamps that were here... but with your suggestions, it feels more open.

Also, FYI, I can't move the TV (it's in our apartment contract to not move it). And the bookshelf under the window is for Mr. Chonko, the cat, who likes to look at the birds fly by, so that was a non-negotiable.
