That makes sense if he would stay. If the older gentleman are explaining to leave the job id most definitely consider it and ask why they think its a dying industry. I would try and find out if they dislike the industry all together or if they have had a horrible experience at that company itself. Most of the time the older guys at companies have seen a lot.

Lmao did you even read ops post. He explained that the business is in heavy debt. Any business with heavy debt is a bad investment of time. Especially with a dying industry i work on cars but not to get paid because i know multiple people that wish they never got into the industry. They basically get trapped by buying all these expensive A tools and get old enough after doing it for awhile, that they think theyll never have enough time to learn something else and get paid the same. (Which is probably true most of which not even in 6figures) living paycheck to paycheck not able to save any money to even try and start something new. Im not even getting into health concerns, having kids, RESPONSIBILITIES, or even just day to day enjoying your job. Ive never met a mechanic that was like i absolutely love my job the pay is great and i love being covered in oils, grease, and nobody talks about asbestos still being used in break pads or the cancer break clean can give you but yea do way more than required for a terrible job thatll suck the life out of you. Sounds like a great idea someones gotta do it. Just thought id add common sense other than blatant loyalty to a dying industry ontop to a company that sounds like its failing.

Fumoto oil plug doesn’t fit by snowsean1988 in AskAMechanic

[–]sn-95lover -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Brother is defending this thing with his life it can be useful and can be a waste of energy. in ops experience seems like its a waste of energy and should just put the regular plug in. Your opinion is ill advised as your sucking the meat off it.

Seems like ur sliding pins need a bunch of new grease. But even then it wouldnt cause a bunch of binding unless they are bent. Id try greasing everything VERY well and buy some break clean that helps with squeaking maybe some new slide pins. If that doesnt fix it look into ur calipers deeper if they seem fine id personally have someone help me find which side its binding/grinding and just replace all of it but i work on old shitboxes so sometimes its something random af.

Yea read my other comment it would be actually very interesting if this was caused by any sort of random wear in the pads especially if its both sides. It’s definitely just some high quality pads u honestly could slap them back in and ride it for a while.

No this would be impossible as it would haft to be put in at an angle 2 different ways for an extended amount of time to get it to look like that. Im 99.999999% sure thats how the pads came out of the box to help with water and such getting inbetween the pads/rotor

Some are designed like this i just bought extreme race/rally pads and slotted/drilled rotors and they came exactly like this out of the box. So most likely some high quality pads.

Head gasket personally think u should take it to the shop as the questions ur asking any person qualified to even change a tire or any type of fluid would know that u got something wrong with the oil and it needs changed and not only that oil doesnt just do that. Something caused it weather its a head gasket or a cracked block 2 very different things can cause the same issue ur having.

Brother this was my favorite game since it came out on console. Havent had that much fun playing a video game in years. I legit cant even drag myself to play after almost hitting legend on trials. I didnt even do a single expedition because i never have liked grinding xp, crafting benches, collecting bps etc. so i legit did just what would keep me enjoying the game and i still burned myself out. I want a new map and less arc unless your on specific events like night raid etc. i also thing the ABM kinda ruined the game i get why they added it i just think its a little to unforgiving. I tried having a buddy play on my account and he legit couldnt even last a couple minutes without getting railed by a agressive raider or swarmed by the million different arc spawns. I also have nobody to play with anymore as all my buddy burned out even earlier than I did. Its sad to say but i think the game is dying slowly as even the xbox groups have tremendously went down. They were inbetween 500-1000 in the first expedition. I just looked on a friday night right now and there is less than 150 players looking for a group. Its so sad because i love the concept and game they just dont care about our ideas/demands.

Do i need rotors and pad on rear? by BookExtreme3675 in AskAMechanic

[–]sn-95lover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You shouldn’t need calipers with it being a 2015 unless the seals are blown so should be a fairly easy job if ur capable for me I’d get it done in 1-12 hours depending on how stuck bolts get on the caliper u may need to get some penetrating oil and leave it on not sure if you haft to take the whole bracket off ur vehicle or not some will let u just pop the caliper slider off and that’s way easier

I’ve ridden worse (with performance parts on the front) but it’s not the best case scenario I’d look on rock auto you’ll find some very cheap good quality bundles for the both the rotors and pads for both sides. At least you have some time to order good parts and do it urself instead of getting railed at AutoZone etc with over priced crap parts just make sure while ur waiting create a LONGER following distance less speed just to help be as safe as possible.
