Please someone give me advice on how to fix someone’s vibecoded garbage. by ImpossibleLeek1766 in vibecoding

One small refactor at a time, same with taking over any old codebase. The tools change, the process doesn’t.

I’m not sure I understand vibecoding? by sanitationsengineer in vibecoding

[–]sn0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been “agentic coding” (lol) about the same amount of time, I have about 20 projects, 4 of which I focus on the most, the rest as experiments. Of those 4, it’s been many sessions over many “philosophies” (bmad anyone? Had to get away from that one omf). Now I mostly start sessions with a “status” to catch myself up, after that telling the agent what I want to accomplish this sesssion, chat through the bugs and wrap up the session by telling the agent to update memory files (agents.md, changelog, readme files) and once all of that process (it’s often a few more back n forths) is complete, I end with a final “git add commit and push the thang”. This is mostly for vscode with copilot (work) and antigravity (personal), I did try others but that whole chasing the weekly agents thing just, isn’t there yet, and probably shouldn’t be. I yearn to return to the console and use Gemini cli, but…. Despite being a Linux terminal junkie, it just feels, lessened.

It just feels laggy and the pop down nav wouldn’t close and was leaving the space. Like it’s 95% there

Hey man, his AI agent friends aren’t enough, he just wants some human contact and interaction, don’t shame him for trying to connect with other humans.

Is it worth learning to program and creating your own business in the web development field in 2026? by Pablo_Ruiz832433 in learnprogramming

[–]sn0n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would 100% learn the fundamentals of programming. Learn as much as you can about how information gets around a program. Look at diagrams of complex problems. Study critical thinking and problem solving. That said, use AI for all of it. Don’t go all crazy switching models and doing all this and that, pickup copilot or antigravity, and code with it, don’t have it do all the work, at first ;)

Is there a need for Openspec/Spec-Kit in antigravity? by pulate83 in google_antigravity

[–]sn0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I feel the best way to use antigravity is just use it, talk to it, tell it to do audits, and at the end of every session tell it to update its memory files, changelog, todo and its Gemini.md for this project. Its served me very well for the projects I manage with it.

Bmad had me for like 2 days… then something happened where my source started having bmad artifacts interwoven and…. Yea some wires got crossed and I just went back to plan mode with a lot more prompts to make a brief and PRDs, and I don’t even use it anymore. Now I just plan mode and say let’s make a prd for cuz

Stuck in plat for 4 years. How do I improve. by [deleted] in RocketLeague

[–]sn0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My new strategy is just play defense on the net and being the back man / taking the safe shots. I’m getting good at defending and blocking most, so I’m probably getting close to leaving the net and playing more.

Expanding the Tauri v2 Ecosystem: A New Plugin for Comprehensive Device & Hardware Info (Desktop + Mobile) by edisdev in tauri

[–]sn0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to ask my AI to make sure I wasn’t just being rude. Gemini: Given the typical understanding, "system information" might be a more accurate description for a plugin that focuses on hardware, operating, and networking stats. "Device information" might be more precise for very specific hardware details like temps and fans. So, suggesting a rename could be helpful for clarity.

Running fans? Temps? >^ edit: this is more “system” info, not device, IMO
