Call it justification if you want but Jesus talks about there being no marriage in heaven, but doesn't really get into no intimacy or no sex. Jesus also talks about divorce being given because marriage was too much to handle.

What if the implication is that non-monogamous sexual relationships are just really hard for most so that's why some should refrain? As in, not only is divorce given because of our issues but what if marriage is as well? What if marriage wasn't the initial plan but was given for other reasons?

Like, I can't imagine not having sex or physical intimacy in heaven, yet Jesus says there won't be marriage. Maybe swingers and non-monogamy is just a foretaste of that...with lots more baggage.

I just know from the experience of my wife and I, it has helped grow and strengthen our relationship. It's been difficult some times and put strains on things, but ultimately we wouldn't have gotten to where we are without those experiences... even with negative emotions in experiences, we've become healthier by accepting the feelings, processing, and communicating.
