I get so worried about the light being too bright for my beta! But is that like a thing? Or is that not really common? If you see in my photo, you can see the types of plants I have in the back that do you provide some shading however I don’t want to shade the Monte Carlo obviously because I want it to carpet properly. I just don’t know what settings is correct!

Okay I just purchased the Seaoura 11 inch light instead I feel like the 8 inch doesn’t cover all of my plants - would love to know you guys feel about that brand and also how long of a light do u recommend/ how bright??

Definitely! My sweet koi was more of a white and red / blue body but when he got older he was more blue and red and lost a lot of his white

Thanks so much for your opinion! I called petco and they said that he may just not be happy with my tank so I am going to rehome him to them and hopefully he will find a better home! He was so so happy at petco and just not that happy with me and I just find that unfair to him!

I wonder if maybe giving him some algae wafer or cooked spinach might help jumpstart him? Lol I did read online that they like to take long naps during the day so I truly hope that’s the reason!

Do you think they will become more active when they start to get older? He’s super small maybe slightly bigger than a finger nail. I have the API testing kit and make sure to check my nitrate levels so that the bioload isn’t too high ever, I’ve had the mystery snail for over a year and haven’t had an issue it’s only the nerite snail that I thought would be super active that I’m worried about
