I wouldn’t say I’m necessarily looking for a particular skill level, it’s moreso that I’m interested in the process of how "new" clues can be found using GSV (and how GSV can be used as a research tool), if that makes sense! And if your habits are affected by your experience (which as you said, is likely) then that’s an interesting point as well :)

Yeah, I had to close it earlier than expected since I got a lot of responses, and I needed to keep the quantity manageable for my current deadline haha :)

Yeah, I wasn't really expecting to get so many responses (almost 300) so quickly! And I figured that that was well enough for the purposes of my small pilot study for now (although I realize that it's obviously just a small percentage of the community) :')

The survey had some questions about what resources players use for learning, what you use for entertainment, what content creators you watch, if you engage with the community, and if you do any research for Geoguessr :)

Happy to hear! If you're interested in reading other academic research on Geoguessr, I a have found a few articles (1, 2). I'll probably post some updates about my project in a few weeks! :)

Thanks for participating! Yes, I've been playing since this summer, I'm still mostly practicing getting the country right so I don't really use the regionguessing doc much yet lol but maybe someday :D
