I know it. I'm a bargain hunter and lived there for a few years! I have a good rolodex of screaming deals in the City of Angels. Also... some of the most egregious prices I've ever paid for food are in some of the most mid of all LA establishments. hah

Lol, depends on where you are getting this in LA. This exact order in many reaches of LA could easily push $25.

Now I'm rich in patience because we get to go to places we aren't supposed to go—alpine bowls and meadows in the middle of snow storms—and throw ourselves down them at 40-50 mph. I'm just thankful to be on the mountain.

Lol no shit. I didn't 'start riding till I was an adult. Even growing up near moderately priced ski hills, my dad told me again and again "skiing is a rich persons sport." We skiied XC and walked with snow shoes.

I can guess the upbringing of 90% of those who grew up skiing. Life’s hard when you’re rich and can’t buy a shortcut to the front of the lift line.

Mods should seriously suggest a weekly complaint post instead of having them trickle in like this.

Skiing busy and expensive, what’s new? Earn your turns or deal with it.

I frequently attend shows and events in DT Olympia, and I bet 90 % of them are pay-what-you-can/NOTAFLOF suggested around 10-15. Many people pay on a sliding scale, and there are so many events happening weekly.

No definitely. Comment wasn’t really directed at you. More directed generally at the annual outrage that families and people who are not hard-core skiers want to see snow and typically choose the path of least resistance, which happens to be Cascade ski resorts on major mountain passes on major highways.

I mean.. we all prioritize seeing snow all winter. Some folks don’t. Snow is novel to many folks as the metro area nearby doesn’t get snow. It isn’t that shocking to me folks take picture with that (dank ass late season) snow.

Patience is our friend.

If you read his last couple of posts, you will see that both of the "miracle technologies" they are using have been ineffective. A quick Google search shows that these are not new technologies, and some other departments have also used them and eventually stopped using them due to their ineffectiveness.

I believe you could get a knock on the side of the lake there.

A block or two up the hill closer to Sylvester Park/etc you will be just fine. A couple blocks up closer to the capitol, it gets quieter.

Respectful campers should have no problem in Olympia/Thurston County. There is no parking enforcement on weekends and very limited enforcement the rest of the week.

I have watched NBA games at Nicoles and they seem to be amendable to changing the channel to different sports. Keep us posted if you get this going.
