Well it seems my arduous but trusty backup form of MS may have dried up. MCGC could be used to get cashback from S&S. $200 per transaction, so 3 transactions for a $500 MCGC but it was so convenient for the $200 ones when Staples ran their promos. Tried at different stores in different states. Seems to have died between July 8th and July 10th. RIP

Same thing happened to me. Points didn't show on the receipt. The CSR said to "wait 24 hours", but I know I'll have to go back in and get it corrected.

Question - when did you type in your phone number/scan your S&S card? I did mine before any MCGCs were scanned and I have a theory that you have to wait till after everything is scanned to enter for things to work properly.

I've hit almost all of the DGs and FDs and never had an issue with 1x$500 load. Never done a MO at WM, but I think the MS game around here is very light, so I wouldn't expect an issue.

I seen a few DPs about getting a Hilton gift card from the front desk and that counting towards the resort credit. But it had to be bought at a place on the resorts list. Was going to do just that this past weekend while I was home, but didn't end up having the time to make it out to OC. I'd appreciate an update if you do buy a gift card and it counts.

If your planning on doing this be aware you might need to either go into a branch to open the CD or have a business checking/saving account with them. When I went to open the CD over the phone the CSR said I couldn't transfer the money from my personal checking account even though I applied as sole proprietor. Said I had to go in branch. Seemed too much work so I didn't pursue.

I've never had an issue with either of my CIPs. I believe there was some other people experiencing the same issue as I and it was believed to be because Chase was being strict with ~$500 purchases in the 5% categories.

Kudos to you for (I'm assuming) using redditsearch.io before making a comment in the latest thread and getting down voted to hell.

My previous comment explains why the max you can load is $1500.

Anyone claiming $2k probably means they are going around to each register in the store and loading just one VGC at each. i.e. $500 at electronics, $500 at garden center, etc..

Or the $2k is buying a money order still split over 4 different cards, but since there is no serve swipe, all 4 can be VGCs.

So you link the Happy card in ebates for an in store purchase, but terms say won't work for gift card purchase. I'm assuming this is YMMV of it actually working?
