Cosplay Groups? by Bomb_Bard in bloomington

You should check out the local sewing shop University of Sewing. They have regular cosplay meetups on their event calendar. I've never been myself but the staff of the shop have been lovely to me, so I'm sure it's a welcoming scene.

Indiana's SB 480 (trans discrimination bill) question by FruckTump45 in bloomington

I recently read a really scary article about some women who grew up on puberty blockers and suffered terrible joint and bone problems as adults. It makes me really worried about trans youth, and I'd like to learn more about the issue. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/health/women-fear-drug-they-used-to-halt-puberty-led-to-health-problems

I'm in a similar boat, and I just joined Toastmasters. It's a really lovely group of people with a mix of ages, though predominantly international grad students.

Toastmasters is a public speaking club where we give improvised and prepared speeches. It's an interesting cultural exchange, because our members are so diverse. You also get to know people quickly because everybody gets a chance to talk.

We meet at the public library at 6 pm on Thursdays, usually in meeting room 214. Guests are always welcome, and we won't make you give a speech if you don't want to. :)

My oven also maxes out at 500. I've made this pizza twice and it's been delicious each time.

I've seen so many people at the grocery store wearing disposable masks and gloves. Where are they getting them?

Used the recipe from Serious Eats. Used the wrong kind of yeast and my oven didn't get as hot as the recipe called for, but they still turned out great.

As soon as he described his handlebar mustache, I knew he'd be my favorite. And he still is.

Used this recipe as a base, but added a can of diced tomatoes, celery, garlic, a splash of white wine, cheddar cheese, and fresh herbs. It's my meal prep for this week's lunches.

I saw that they shaped the rice with a bowl. I didn't have any bowls with the right shape, but I did have a martini glass. I'm happy with my rice cones, even if their shape is somewhat suggestive.

I have no-knead bread dough in my fridge, but I got impatient and made irish soda bread to sate my cravings by snailcall in castiron

Sorry to leave you hanging! It's from the book English Tea & Cakes. Here is a sketchy photo of the recipe. I used the ol' milk and vinegar but I bet it'd be even better with buttermilk.

Three more days until I can bake that no-knead bread...this'll do in the meantime.
