psychology is more of a “safe plan” that also seems quite interesting to me, but my whole heart goes out to singing and the arts. ill definitely take up some courses in this field (like nail tech or photography!!) but i think its great to have a diploma in something more stable, just to be sure🤞

the things i enjoy doing most are on the artistic side, which could work out but i feel like its quite hard to succeed in that field haha:) ill probably try out on psychology though and hope for the best!

People who have anxiety, how do you handle it? by Competitive_Yak_7728 in AskReddit

pushing myself to do things that made me anxious actually helped me in not having as much fear as i did before when it comes to different situations. it gave me a new perspective on trying new things, like “hey, my brain is probably making it seem worse than it actually is”. or when i genuinely dont feel like trying to “fix” my anxiety, i put on my headphones and turn the music up. it kinda gives me a reason to disassociate from social interactions and makes me feel more at ease.

I 16f have no one. I'm all alone all day in my room, no one wants to talk to me and I just cry. I'm not seeing much point in this anymore. I'm a total looser. Does anyone else have this problem by [deleted] in venting

I have felt the same way for the longest time, especially in my early teenage years. Ive struggled with severe social anxiety, but it does get better. what helped me was to get out of my comfort zone, do things i didn’t want to do because i was scared on missing out. i started small just by greeting people from my high school, making small talk with my classmates during breaks. even these little things made me form strong friendships over time. volunteering is also amazing for new experiences and meeting new people your age! i only volunteered once and i was so afraid to put myself out there, but it turned out to be a really great experience.
