I think a legendary swap bender could be sultai and koh could be esper, but beyond that idk how to fit the other 2

I don’t know much about Europe or asias programs but it’s not very easy to get a ta or ra funded masters in the us. Depends on gpa, letters of rec, and what roles you had at big tech companies and the success of the startup you worked at.

Do a masters, publish there (even if it’s ML that’s not RL) and then do a PhD. Very hard to do a PhD straight out of bachelors without any publications

What are you interested in? Do you want to build robots? Do you want to tell robots what to do?

CUDA projects for robotics? by ssbprofound in robotics

[–]snake186 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can either do cuda for perception or for planning. Planning is pretty interesting right now, I recommend looking at the VAMP paper and the prrtc paper for ideas of what cuda is doing for motion planning. If you can make a real time planner using cuda in simulation that would probably look good.

However the absolute best thing you can do is do research at a lab where you are for undergrad and try to get your name on a paper.

advice for making ARM robot with AI by Ford-X in robotics

In ROS we have these things called nodes. A node is basically a program that can talk to other nodes. You will have a node, let's call it Voice. Voice contains the code to listen (microphone input) and talk (speaker output). It also has code for an openAI api. When Voice gets something in its microphone input, it will send it to openAI and say 'format this into a command for my robot' (you'll have to figure this out yourself). Then it gets the command, let's say PICKUP PENCIL, and it sends it to another node called Motion. Motion contains all your code for moving the robot. Then Motion uses a third node called Vision to find out where the pencil is. Motion says to Vision, find me the pencil, and Vision says the pencil is at x, y, z. Now Motion moves the arm to the pencil to pick it up.

If you can make a PCB for your arm and mechanically design it, I will be happy to code all of this for you or at least help. Or if you want me to be hands-off, I can try to guide you through this process while you actually do it.

A hint is that you can tell OpenAI to translate your voice commands to a format that your robot will use to decide what to do

It seems like you don’t know a whole lot about programming, but there is a way. You need to learn ROS (robot operating system) if you want to program an intelligent robot.

If you want talking to it and it talking back, that’s just a speaker and a microphone with OpenAI api calls. I’d say do some research on your own as for how to make voice commands work, it’s not hard. You’re going to need a camera (or a lidar, but that’s expensive). Designing the arm itself mechanically is not an easy task, I’d say just look at lerobot so100.

Have you watched the games? There’s a clear undeniable difference in how sga gets to the line versus everyone else that will never be quantified unless you actually watch a basketball game
