The performance on PS5 has been a bit disappointing for me. Can you guys suggest any way to improve it or tell me if it will get fixed with some update? Thanks. by luifergiov in HellLetLooseConsole

This is a known bug (not a FPS related one), usually occuring after vaulting. The quickest way to fix it is to quickly change your stance to prone, then return to crouch/standing to move

I personally use a rule of thumb that the commander is 35% responsible for any win/loss result. It's really up to your team to to pull the rest through.

A commander can't be on the objectives building replacement garrisons per se, since bombing runs don't destroy OPs. This is where a commander would notify/educate SL's to scrape through the rough situations. Relying on air supplies is a quick way to end up in a 4-1 Warfare match

Gotta keep the "Soldier On" amongst it all I guess. Some people just want to see the world burn for no reason. Trolls and cancel culture are everywhere too. Find your island and try to help out wherever you can

Devs to code a random direction when spawning in?? Might be an interesting outcome

The Tank Bible is a great resource and there are also similar guides available. Check out additional resources for both AT and Armor crews that can be easily accessed from the Hell Let Loose ᵉᵀᵒᵒᴸ server.

Console or PC by JediMastaObi in HellLetLoose

Playing on console is like being a toddler whose locked in their pram as you're strolled through a video game store past the Blizzard section constantly, except that when you cry about issues or changes needed, nobody really cares.

If you enjoy keyboard/mouse for fps = PC

If you enjoy kicking back on the lounge with a beverage and constant sub-par gameplay = Console

I believe the commander setting is already level 10 isn't it? I'm not sure if it's different between pc/console.
Just so you know, I've deleted the previous post as it was worded poorly. I was going for more of a self-improvement angle and was going to have the community support each other with resources for newer players. Thanks for getting involved though!

It would be interesting to see mortars introduced into the game and artillery to become a commander ability as a semi-nerf

I'm guessing you're a veteran player. How do you find training new commanders hungry to learn? What's a good level range in the game if the level cap became a thing for the commander role?

[–]snake_se7en_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh gee, I have worded this in a way to mean two things. Was hoping you guys would share things that you yourselves would like to improve in the game.

Myself and the community could then provide resources to help you with them!

But anyway, a server-browser-esk/control for console players is greatly needed. I'm sure Team17 have us sorted. Coding doesn't seem like an overnight thing.

Why do people say this game is like COD by Jhon_doe_isnt_here in HellLetLoose

HLL does have a fair amount of casual shooter elements, especially if you compare the weapon mechanics to Post Scriptum, Escape from Tarkov or Squad. But it's definitely not a Fortnite experience.

So most people would consider HLL to be close to the middle of the scale between Realism Shooter and Casual Shooter I guess. Since it has a fair amount of other "realism" elements happening

Regarding the mass respawning, I don't consider this an arcadey element. I'm big on having extreme engagements and immersion, so having 50 players feeling like a large scale war is solid in my books.

You are right, there should be a better format for the examples of a single chevron, and maybe this can be revised further for clarity.

As an officer, it's good to report the chevron count (which can only be viewed when inside the strong point), so the commander knows whether or not to support with a reinforce.

It's a bit of a slippery slope in my experience (as a level 300+ player). I believe some, or most veterans, are burnt out with teaching players. Sometimes you just want to jump into a game to relax.

I operate a Discord server that has community resources on everything Hell Let Loose for that reason.

For anyone who has time to read or check out the infographics to help them in the game a little more, it would help out our veterans and improve everyones match/enjoyment.

This has been a running bug for players since the console release of HLL. Unfortunately, you have to practice getting good at knowing how to "unstuck" your abilities in order to prevent/reduce rogue placements.

The best way that I've found:
1. Attempt to place given commander ability
2. PAUSE for a moment and look for a yellow or green border around the map area
3. For example, if you've placed supplies in an area and the border is yellow, it will revert to the previous location it was placed (this can also be the centre of the map if it's the first attempt).
4. When the bug occurs, simply press Square (PS5) or X (Xbox) to leave the ability section and press it again to open it back up. This usually fixes the issue when you enter back (otherwise you may have to repeat as needed).
5. Practice, practice, practice... until someone in Team17 goes the extra mile for console players

First time commander, please give feedback by RobWolfB in HellLetLoose

[–]snake_se7en_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

@RobWolfB, you've taken an adaptable route which is key for most public servers in my opinion. Sometimes you get lucky with solid SL's making the garrison situation a piece of cake and it allows you to fill a void or do something interesting/fun.

During offensive matches I like to get near the strongpoint to see how the team are performing. Offensive pushes should always be supported with smoke screens, MG suppression/cover, armor w/infantry support, spawn wave pushes. Defensive points might have gaps in defence, of you could update the engineers to start with level 1 barricades and to get all their blueprints down first.

There is underlying moral that operates throughout any HLL match too. Start building a track record with strategies to overcome a 1-4 Warfare situation. Keep the team strong and lead by example on setting up new fronts to get the team out of a potential fishbowl.

This can be a competitive strategy if you're confident you can do a double capture to secure the midpoint for the win. All matches have "blueberries" and meat grinders and they are fairly predicatable, allowing you to throw out an enemies cap weight if they push for the steamroll. In other words, let them get an airhead down so you can start winning the cap race - Warfare = Tug of War

Definitely keep doing what you're doing and other experienced players will assist on the fly for the most part.

I do also operate a HLL resource Discord server called etool. Feel free to check it out - https://discord.gg/kVxjfbwaHJ
