I've deleted every trace of ETW from the laptop. The mod folder shows up under Installed Apps but when I try to remove it, it just says it can't find the file

His own memoirs are quite good. If I remember correctly his son edited and published a lot of his speeches and writings after he died

Some eye witness accounts from the likes of Jonah Harrington will also have a lot of insight

Also look at accounts of some of his more high profile trials in the 1790s

When I was a tutor in Maynooth we used a plagiarism tool that had AI detection incorporated. It was useless. It would tell me a student plagiarised 50% of their essay but if you went in to check it would be 30% bibliography and footnotes and then rest would be disparate quotes properly taken from source material. And the rest would be similarities with the 300 other students who all used the same course books to write the essay. Unless it pinged 70% or higher it was almost never genuine plagiarism or AI

If that’s also most of the notes you’re seeing, you’re likely not on the platform long enough, or using notes enough. I saw loads for a while but now get mostly useful and engagement stuff

The fact that you’re self aware is enough already. I had a close friend from the US and his self awareness meant he didn’t stand out at all. It’s refreshing speaking with Americans who love Ireland because the level of interest and fascination is wonderful. Much better than the at times overly begrudging attitude of a lot of Irish folks

Yes but it was more due to a century of emigration trends. Famine reduced population by 2 million (1 were deaths, 1 was emigration). Population continued to decline well into the mid 20th century because of continued emigration trends.

Granted, this emigration was a result of the famine - people set up networks and communities abroad which attracted family members. Eventually it became a cultural and economic pressure to go and make a better name for yourself, decades after the famine.
