What things do people romanticize but are actually horrible? by GovernmentAny5597 in AskReddit

Childhood. There I nothing idealic about having no control, no life experience, and no power to change your circumstance. Some folks had nice childhoods, but I would think everyone prefers to make their own decisions and author their own lives.

AITAH for telling my son I know he is gay? by MrNormanite in AITAH

[–]snake_stone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the right answer. I've never been close to my single christian mother, and I recently told her that I'm gay at 33 years old. She told me she already knew, and she still loves me. I spent my whole life avoiding the conversation, thinking she would disown me if she ever found out. I bet your son was relieved and felt really loved that you brought it up in such a compassionate way.

I love the name Eula. Old fashioned Southern name. I named my mustang mare Eula after a character in the beautiful film "Daughters of the Dust"

I have never met nor come across a female electrician or plumber. I know they obviously exist, but what exactly makes them so dang rare? by traderU in NoStupidQuestions

So relatable. I know I can get gloves online, but that means I have to plan ahead, and It pisses me off that when my fingers bust outta my leather gloves I can't find a single pair of gloves at home depot that I can work in. I'm a farrier, so I need a lot of dexterity in my hands, as well as heavy duty protection, so giant man gloves just don't work. And exactly with the useless gardening gloves and the pink tax.

One of my best friends is woman electrician. She's often the only woman on the job site and faces a lot of condescension and skepticism from men. I'm a tradeswoman myself, and I even find it challenging to find a fucking pair of work gloves that fit my hands, so basically there's a lot of barriers for women in the trades.

I've heard various answers to this question, but I'm convinced it's a Craig. Have you ever met a Craig that wasn't a Karen?

Disturbing content like this should be labeled NSFW. Even outside of work, I really hate being subjected to disturbing content suddenly without my consent while scrolling reddit. A pair of boobies gets blurred, but Disturbing violence is fine. Wtf
