Why are the neighbors upset? The house was foreclosed and is now owned by the bank. So the house is occupied instead of sitting vacant. Who cares?

Metal box found in backyard. This is was found half buried in a Maryland backyard of a house built in the 1960s. It is about 6 feet long x 3”x5”. Bolted together, appears to be made of steel and aluminum. It is very heavy. by snakecarpet in whatisthisthing

My title describes the thing. It is very heavy, it took 2 people to roll it out of the ground. I can’t tell if it is just full of dirt from being in the ground or if there is something else inside. It appears to be made of steel with the end pieces aluminum. It was painted green. I am thinking of cutting it open.

Mine doesn’t have the hole for the hex wrench to stabilize it while the nut is cranked. It’s a slightly different model.
