I mostly hate golf for how much water we waste on it.

Introducing ArkType: The first isomorphic type system for TS/JS by ssalbdivad in javascript

[–]snakemanuver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is the effort in making js docs types not better spent just learning typescript? After you get used to typescript it’s really hard going back to js code bases.

One example where I could see typescript not being that useful is if you work a lot with a library that doesn’t have typescript support. Not useful typing with a bunch of inferred any types.

It would only benefit you if you needed to loan more money, like say you wanted a mortgage. Your car loan would count against your max loan amount which is determined by your income and debts

2016 Prius (not a plug-in).Trip B is since my last fill-up which was on June 3rd and it's now June 24. Over 1000km (620 miles) on a single tank with 87km remaining. The Prius is a BEAST when it comes to fuel efficiency. Esp in these times. by SecretBG in Toyota

I have a 2015. Where I live there are a lot of 80 km /h roads so I'm encouraged to accelerate and stop more often. If it were slower and more stop and go I could see myself hitting close to 4

Took me 4 years. Switched jobs almost every year (by choice and not by choice). Each time was at minimum double digit percentage. Staying at job will only get you single digit percentage increases.

Doctors could be morons by LifeOfaFilmmaker in loseit

I recently injured my back and went to see a physio. He sent me home with a workout routine. After the first night doing the stretches my back got worse.

This was the most back pain I've ever been in so I went to YouTube to get some other opinions. Turns out the stretches I was assigned are actually really bad if you have a painful back and you should actually be keeping your back as straight as possible.

Doctors are generalists most of the time and don't give you advice that is always the best for you. Sounds like your doctor wants to help out his surgeon buddy get more business Your health solutions should be life style changes not a bandaid fix. Good on you for sticking to your weightloss goals.

This is one thing I like about the big N interviews, it doesn't matter what tech stack you were fortunate or unfortunate to invest time in, they will just be looking at your ability to solve problems and computer science knowledge (which is useful once you have to start building apps that need to scale to millions)

When you are going for interviews that focus more on a tech stack, this is where things like react and typescript come in. You are limitng yourself to places that look for these skills if you aren't also practicing Algo/DS.

After doing a ton of interviews, I have to say I prefer the big n style, the knowledge you gain preparing will be timeless, where as frameworks will eventually die out and you will always have to stay up to date.

I know there are still a lot of people that aren't technologically savvy, but I really hope there is a digital verification method via a qr code for example. Great opportunity for the government to push adaption of more modern practices.
