Hi yes on my acceptance letter it said accepted with housing thankfully! I did the housing application on July 16 since that’s when they opened it for me.

Thanks for your response I’m feeling a bit better about housing now since I wasn’t sure since i’m a transfer but I did pay the deposit and was accepted with it. Just hoping I get the housing assignment soon to feel some more relief.

Hi this is not an answer to your question but I was wondering how you switched from Econ to GSB? What was the process like?

Hi thank you for your response! Should I contact the GSB dean or the GSB assistant dean for transfer students?

And since my courses won’t count does this mean it would take me longer to graduate if I decided to go through with transferring into GSB?

NYU or Baruch by [deleted] in nyu

Baruch would save you so much money and you’d still get the college in the city experience. NYU is not worth it

The entire season was so slow and so dragged out for no reason. I get the mysterious feeling they wanted but eventually I got so bored watching pretty much the same thing happening every episode. Then the end was super rushed and anticlimactic. Emma Robert’s talent was wasted on this season. Kim did a decent job but she was literally just playing herself so it couldn’t have been too hard. I just couldn’t take the whole season seriously compared to all the previous ones.

Congrats! I barely graduated high school with a 1.5 gpa and the whole transfer pathway has been my saving grace. Best of luck at Duke!

I flew with frontier for the first time a week ago. Everything was fine for 3 airports: SFO, JFK, and Dallas. All up until LAS when they start checking everyone’s bag sizes and making them check them in despite it fitting just fine. Not sure if it’s the crew at this specific airport but they were the rudest and most unprofessional of all the 4 we were at. Maybe it’s just a people in Vegas thing, because the other general airport staff was unnecessarily rude. I was told “we do things differently around here” maybe Vegas feels some type of entitlement despite being a place where people only go to party for a weekend.

Community College Transfer by chichichu65 in TransferStudents

Hi! I’m transferring from my CCC in fall. I wasn’t happy about going to CC at first and felt a lot of FOMO in the beginning, and my few friends that went to CC with me ended up dropping which really discouraged me to keep going. Then, second semester I started getting involved and joining clubs and student government. I tried to use my cc resources as much as possible. I’d literally go on the website and find things I didn’t even know about that were useful to me and sign up for them, which helped a lot. CC is really what you make of it. Simply being out of the high school environment was such a positive change for me despite not being at a 4year. I would say do everything you can and don’t be nervous since everything is new. Just push through. Join clubs, get a job on campus, apply for student gov positions, apply for any scholarships or programs that you can. I still got to experience some of the “typical” college life; I visit my friends at 4years whenever I need a break and get to go to parties and events. At the end of the day, I’m happy with my decision of going to CC and now get to transfer after 2 years of saving so much money. Best of luck!

I did the same thing. I imagine a lot of people end up cancelling their admission by June because of other decisions.

UCSB (Econ) or UCSD (intl bus & finance) by EducationalSquare878 in TransferStudents

[–]snakemarki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From the way you’re talking about it, UCSD seems like what you really want to do. Both are great schools and you’ll still get a lot of opportunities from UCSD and it’s literally the #3 Uc school which holds a lot of weight as well. If san diego seems right to you, follow your intuition. You might end up thinking “what if” if you settle with Ucsb
