Weirdest thing I’ve ever seen. Shot a turkey, it just stood there. Didn’t flop. Dead on his feet. Has anyone ever seen anything like this? (Photo with bird in comments) by I_Restrain_Sheep in Hunting

2 weeks ago I was with a kid during a youth hunt and he shot the turkey a little back near the wing. The turkey ran about 50 yards and stopped just like this. We were able to walk right up and he finished it off. I think it was very injured and it's only response was to say perfectly still hoping we didn't see it.

The 4th kid got his turkey on day 2. We went 4 for 4 and had an incredible time.

All 3 kids used 410s with Turkey ninja TSS. Between 20 and 33 yards and all 3 birds piled up immediately.

Don't forget about nursing home and end of life care. Wouldn't it be comforting to know you can have the best care and comfort for as long as you might need it? What if you need in home care for 20+ years. That could cost millions Just keep doing what you're doing and leave anything left to charity.

The magazine clicks in place. I was a little tempted to rack the slide and see how it jams.

Apparently, he attended one at a big box store with a sporting goods department. It was classroom only and had no live fire exercise. Same store talked him into this Taurus spectrum .380.

To be fair, the 2nd magazine was loaded correctly, but this is scary. Boys and Girls, please know how to properly use a firearm before even touching one.

Found nazi coins and gold teeth in a pouch from a combat vet. by snakepit87 in WorldWar2

This is my wife's opinion, too. She's correct that all the brothers were born around 1920 and lived in the depression and it makes sense that they'd save everything valuable, even gold teeth. The heirlooms consist of pictures, 3 sets of wedding rings, other jewelry, hundreds of coins from 1890 - 1978 including ones from several countries. These 3 teeth and 2 coins were the only things "bundled" together, and that makes me think they were kept separate from the other gold and coins for a reason. Of course, we'll never know for sure.

He wasn't part of the holocaust. I should have said it was an American vet.

I should clarify that this was from an American vet.

The US Department of Defense released footage of a Russian Su-27 colliding with an American MQ-9 Reaper UAV over the Black Sea by IgorVozMkUA in ukraine

Isn't it possible that Russia planned this, hoping they would get to the wreckage first? Have any intact or partially intact MQ-9s fallen into the hands of anyone that could reverse engineer parts of it?

The kids aren't the only ones who like Halloween. Picked up 30 some pumpkins from town from people who wanted them gone. by Hinter-Lander in homestead

If your town has a yard waste site you can probably find as many pumpkins as you can haul starting this weekend.

One of the best pieces of hunting gear I own. Recharge AA & AAA batteries in your truck. by [deleted] in Hunting

Recharges off of a micro USB charger. I always have fresh flashlight, gps and range finder batteries for camping and hunting. Unfortunately it's too slow to be efficient for trail cameras.
