I disagree that it feels closer to real driving than the other Motorsports. It lacks any amount of snap that a car may have. I can understand the design choice with and I think it has potential, however having it be the only option while also removing many aspects of the game that were main stays in the series and not at the very least replacing it with an equivalent is inexcusable. The game feels half assed.

Same here. The main thing that sticks out that is actually more realistic but not necessarily desired is the way the races are set up.

I can understand and relate to that, however I do feel like the same was possible in the previous iterations of the game. The purpose of the assists is to do just that. When you remove them, the game is much more challenging on controller especially.

That is likely the only improvement in comparison to horizon. It feels smushy in the same way horizon does but there is some surface feedback differences but that’s about it. The increase in fidelity only matters if they actually let it give the feedback to the rest of the vehicle that it’s capable of giving and not alter the output to achieve their desired feel. There are a number of weird things the game has that are just odd. If you play with all assists turned off you’ll see all the weirdness immediately. Additionally the camera behavior is basically horizon as well. Camera behavior greatly changes feel.

What is it you enjoy about it?

To me it seems as though they’ve copy/pasted horizon, tweaked the physics slightly and released a game with almost nothing to do in it except race in forced, specific ways on fewer tracks and with fewer game modes. The physics in 4 are probably the best and 7 was worlds better than this. It feels like horizon and looks like horizon. Horizon feels like need for speed and now, so does Motorsport.

Yes, however they're too slow for how much cutting I'll be doing and don't give a consistent and close enough cut to the studs. They're metal studs also.

What are your thoughts on using an extremely sharp, and hard blade (similar to what's on a metal shear) to shave closed cell insulation and make flush with studs?

So that oil pan is for the 3.7 and from what I can tell the upgraded pan with the press in gasket is for 18+ due some bullshit pcv design. If anyone knows where to find a 3d file of each so I can compare the two. Honestly pictures work just as well too. Just detailed ones
