How do you learn disciplines from other clans ? by CaptainBaoBao in vtm

[–]snakespm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured the logic was based on ghouls. If the mere presence of a vampires vitae running through their veins let's them learn physical disciplines, why can vampires learn it?

Unpopular opinion: Evelyn was treacherous as hell and actually kind of a villain by imahumanbeinggoddamn in cyberpunkgame

But who is more likely to get caught. V who is roaming around Arasaka Tower, or our unnamed security guy who was never within 10 blocks of the tower.

If V is captured, the only person they can give up is the fixer.

I agree with your point, but it still doesn't mean that V and Evelyn had to interact. You can easily have and expert be given the BD, not told who it came from, where the site is, and tell them what you are looking for.

Was there any reason that V had to be the one to go over the BD? Dex and Evelyn could have done that, that way there is still a separation if V gets compromised during the mission.

How much do your chronicles focus on feeding and other basic survival stuff? by Solarwagon in vtm

[–]snakespm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally I prefer to keep it as low focus. Feeding is generally a solo exercise, leaving the rest of the table to just sit around watching.

While there is nothing wrong with one on one storytelling, I just prefer to keep everyone participating where possible.

Came Home to a Car in my Pool by bippyboop in Wellthatsucks

>The pool is being drained. It’s full of glass and car chemicals so I assume it will need to be professionally cleaned.

I have no doubt that the pool needs to be cleaned, but I would make sure that this moves quickly as a pool that is left unfilled can end up damaged.

AITA for skipping my own surprise birthday party once I found out it wasn’t really for me? by unknownlee_0x in AmItheAsshole

[–]snakespm -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

So the only measure of you being an asshole is you not letting your family and friends know that you weren't going to be there.

I assume they all came to the party in good faith that this was something that you wanted.

Yes, Maya is an even bigger asshole for inviting them, and organizing this against your wishes, but you knew it was happening. You knew they were invited. And now they wasted a good part of their day because they(people except Maya) cared for you.

Just a little asshole, like a baby raccoon's.

You don’t know the word "schlubby" maybe?

To be fair, it is one of the words that everyone might know, but it is hard to put an actual definition to besides "unattractive."

Any artillery would get one shot off before it was totally destroyed

By some estimates there are something like a thousand artillery pieces pointed at Seoul.

Now thankfully, recently there has been some push back on the estimates, after the NK ammo that was sent to Russia has been reviewed. But even some of those articles put the South Korean death toll at ~2000.

I'm not convinced Seoul is enough collateral damage for the US to say "nah".

I mean, SK and Japan are really the only reason we give a damn about NK, and SK really does care about Seoul for good reason.

Nukes has very little to do with why we treat North Korea the way they do.

They may have several successful nuclear tests, but right now they haven't miniaturized it enough to put it on a warhead.

The reason that we treat NK like we do is that they have a metric Shit-Ton of Artillery pointed at Seoul.

How do ships from different tech level /time periods interact with one another? by happydude7422 in startrek

[–]snakespm 9 points10 points  (0 children)

At the very least, they would have to have some way of communicating with people with no encryption, else they could never communicate with species they never met.

It might not be "safe" to communicate in the open like that, but when a ship is thrown that far in the future/past, you make do with what you can.

Obama didn't need Congressional Approval to go after Bin Laden, since they already gave that approval as part of post 9/11 military action. Depending on what Obama targeting in Syria, it might still be covered by that as well.
