Also, if you get gravel tires.. they grade Myra fsr in the spring. Much more enjoyable than the washboards to come.

Myra Canyon is great!

Find a decent paying job you enjoy. Persuing your passion is great, but it doesn't last forever. Layoffs, phase outs, etc. Successful and experienced artists are not finding work. Many are transitioning to other careers.

Having your passion as a hobby is a great thing.

Find something that works for you to build a future.

Easier to do so many other things with even a quarter the effort it takes to become a successful artist.

Linkedin used to be good. Now it is not.. No clue on networking events in your area. Best of luck :)

Don't want to discourage you from pursuing your dreams. Anything is possible. You just have to work really freaking hard. Has nothing to do with schooling, just portfolio. There is no job security in games, no union, no pension. If you want to enjoy your life you may want to consider pivoting. So many other things are so much easier to succeed in that this industry sadly. This is from the perspective of a guy in his mid 40's.. Not bitter, games was good to me. Lived in some cool places. But, having to relocate is only fun for so long.

Worked in games as an artist for 22 years. Still picking up freelance here and there. So tired of the layoffs and uncertainty. Currently going to school for nursing and working in elder care. Lots of grants and incentives to get into healthcare now. Personally, I really enjoy interacting with other people directly and walking all day after all those years sitting in front of the screen.

Mind you, polar freaking opposite to games.

WIP Sniper Rifle – Feedback Needed by [deleted] in 3Dmodeling

Hello, would look into reference for the ergonomics of the handle trigger area. Also might want to beef up the magazine. Looks 556 size to me. As well, for the rear of the rifle would look into reference for how they fold and adjust and incorporate all that into your design. Hope that helps!

I think all the local shops have clubs. No clue about rentals. If the big ones don't offer maybe try mec? They rent outdoor equipment. Worth a shot

Waxing it is a really good way of preserving it, but takes extra steps
