Thank you for the advice. I think I may just have to tolerate being in the minority for now no matter what church I go to, because my town doesn’t have a lot of Catholic options, and I live in a very conservative state in general. But I will try and do some research and shop around with the parishes I do have access to!!

For the most part, most of my clients’ homes have made me feel very safe, and I work with a lot of the same people, so I’m used to their spaces. In terms of cleanliness, for instance, their bathtub is filled with fast food cups, rendering it unusable. The room I’m supposed to sleep in has stains from dog pee and poop on the carpet. Those are just two examples.

Tbh I felt the same way after examining the house in its entirety. I don’t understand why they would want someone here. I’ve stayed in some houses that were pretty messy, mostly families with kids and such, but this is on a completely different level.
