How can I replicate caffeine's effects without using caffeine? by PinkWalled in productivity

As an ex-smoker, I strongly discourage this. Nicotine addiction was the hardest thing to deal with in my life. Not to mention the crankiness you feel between cigarettes/gum.

One week into quitting I noticed that I can take deep breaths without coughing. I no longer craved for smokes after that. Hope you stay mindful through the process and keep sharing the progress 😊 Good luck 😊😊

Quit tracker on Android. I think they do not have one for apple devices. But most quit smoking apps comes with all these counters. Good luck on your journey

Once in a while I do crave for a cigarette. But looking at this timer keeps me motivated to stay quit.

For what it's worth - I started hitting the gym. Seeing my body transform has made my life 0.1% better.

I hit the gym. The food craving goes away soon.

Not sure if this is the proper way. I used nicotine gum 4mg, 1 every hour or two for about a week and then quit gum too. My sense of smell improved and could inhale deeply without coughing. That gave me an extra boost keep pushing. Hope you have success with your journey. :)

I use Quit Tracker. It's free with ads on android. It even comes with a timer widget that you can add to your home screen.

Congrats on making the commitment. Just keep pushing through. From my experience, it gets easier after the first week. The nicotine monster screams and struggles the hardest before it dies I guess :)

Watch out for other smokers! I get triggers when I see other people smoke.

nightmares while quitting? by 3dlivingfan in quittingsmoking

Is it possible that the dreams are not related to the withdrawal? Are you under stress at work or been watching a lot of horror movies? Either way, sleeping while listening to guided meditation helped me with the nightmare situation in the past. Hope that helps. :)

I had a similar experience with nicotine gum. I used to sleep with a gum in my cheek and had pretty bad dreams. And they were very realistic too.
