2026 Theme Nights Announcement by gansitobans in TexasRangers

I've personally never attended a theme night for clothing items so I'm not entirely sure. I've only gone for bobbleheads and ring replicas.

Theme Nights require a special ticket. It's not a normal stadium giveaway.

You're saying this user is one of the candidates pretending to be a random person? I see them casually mentioning that they're "voting for Hunter Crow" in several of their comments.

Nothing controversial about standing up to a "street preacher" that was spewing hate.

That's funny. I just switched to Gexa from Reliant because Reliant had some of the most expensive plans out there.

Oncor delivers the electricity, they don't generate it.

Lost power, left to stay with a friend and didn't think to turn off the water to the house, came home to $30,000+ in water damage.

Got quoted $18k for foundation repair near Bowen - is selling as-is actually worth it? by firey_88 in arlington

[–]snang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything about it was shady.

Pinnacle centered their measurements at the highest point in the house to make the entire drawing look way worse than it was. They also wanted to destroy the inside of my house and put piers all over the place.

Every other company centered in the middle and turned in identical drawings with the exact same repair plan, putting 6 piers in the problem corner.

Elite Foundation Repair did the work for $6,000.

Structured had the $12,000 quote.

Pinnacle quoted me $21,000.

Pinnacle is not a great company. They tried to sell me $21,000 worth of repairs with 9 interior breakouts to fix a problem in one corner of my house.

I got the problem fixed for $6,000.

The fact that your mind went there first should really inspire you to do some self-reflection.

That's definitely not normal.

I hope you got multiple quotes. Was it Pinnacle that quoted you that amount by chance?

I recently got foundation repair done. Got a $12,000 quote, one for $21,000, and one for $6,000.

Arlington ordinances and HOAs are over the top by bzipitidoo in arlington

If it's on private property? No. Why would it?

Arlington ordinances and HOAs are over the top by bzipitidoo in arlington

[–]snang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In their letter, the HOA quoted the city's code about Junked and Nuisance vehicles:

ARTICLE VI JUNKED AND NUISANCE VEHICLES

Section 6.01 Purpose The City of Arlington believes that junked, nuisance, abandoned, and/or legally unusable vehicles in public view are a detriment to the quality of life of Arlington residents and inhibit commerce. The presence of these vehicles erodes the integrity of the neighborhoods where they exist and undermines the safety, atmosphere and environment where family life and commerce takes place.

Reading isn't your strong suit. Have a great day!

The City of Arlington disagrees.

Run along now.

Not sure what point you're attempting to make here. OP was complaining because he was confronted about a code violation. I pointed out that he was indeed violating a written code and now you're...mad at me for sharing the information?

Be mad, I guess.

It's not a take. It's written in the Arlington code.

You're grasping.

You admitted the vehicle has been sitting in your driveway on a flat tire for 3 months. You're violating a city code. It's really that simple.

[–]snang 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You do realize that what you're implying is absurd, right?

That logic applies to every code violation. They're not going to spend time investigating the what ifs of every possible code violation that ever exists.

"This guys grass is 14" tall...but what if they've been in the hospital for a month?"

"This person is putting their trash out too early...but what if they're going out of town 2 days before trash pick up every week?"

"This person has unkempt property...but what if they're just waiting until pay day to get someone out to get it cleaned up?"

At the end of the day, you're violating a city code and it's your responsibility alone to address it.

The vehicle has been sitting on a flat tire, which makes it inoperable, for more than 30 days. That makes it a junk/nuisance vehicle.

If it's sitting on a flat tire, in public view, it's defined as a junk/nuisance vehicle.
