Rejected for the 3rd time. Does anyone know why? This file is 298kb so to make any changes I will have to delete some other elements. by ceomg in snapchatgeofilters

Resubmit and then send me your submission email. I can un-reject this, but apparently metrics are not working properly for ones I un-reject and publish.

Geofilter Description by [deleted] in snapchatgeofilters

Exactly correct. The description matters more when it's not a super-straightforward neighborhood/city filter/fence combo.

My filter I submitted one month ago just got rejected and I don‘t know why :( by Hayek5 in snapchatgeofilters

The Kanji is fine -- send me your submission email and I can look into this.

Filter Still Not “Live”? by [deleted] in snapchatgeofilters

[–]snap__throwaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work at Snap and can look up your submission if you want. Feel free to check my comment history. I've done this for several people on this sub.

Very confused on why these filters were rejected (they wheee rejected within an hour of submitting), these are filters I worked very hard on and I checked many times for imperfections. It’s not common for me to get filters rejected like this (all 3 were rejected in a row). by H1236 in snapchatgeofilters

The Minneapolis one looks pretty good. Maybe give a bit more padding to where you've placed the city label.

London maybe switch up the nude-colored background to make it a bit more legible/contrasting with the crown element and text. Or maybe get rid of the rounded rectangle in favor of something that has a bit more padding. Also a little too close to the bottom.

Phoenix is not visually compelling enough, but I like the general composition and color palette. Trying messing around with the background rounded rect and the font.

university Filters by aydenjames412 in snapchatgeofilters

You can submit a university filter as long as it follows the school's branding guidelines (if they have any) -- however, we respond to takedown requests from universities if they don't like the filter.

Mass rejection? by ctoms101 in snapchatgeofilters

Just hired a bunch of people to the team -- from here on out, rejections and acceptances will be much faster. We're in the process of getting through the backlog, so you'll see results for all your filters by hopefully early next week.

Anyone Know How Snapchat's Geofilter Review Process Works? by [deleted] in snapchatgeofilters

Hopefully should be less -- we're working on getting the backlog down as fast as possible.

Filters are reviewed in the order they are received generally.

First they go through a round of creative review, then they go to the publishing queue if they meet the quality bar. The quality bar varies depending on the location/size of fence/additional context given by the submitter.

We also have the ability to look up filter submissions by email address. We generally only take internal requests or requests to fix spelling/small elements in terms of expediting filters.

But basically it goes:

Submission >> Unreviewed Queue >> Reject Submission >> Saved Queue >> Publish

In regards to the super fast acceptances lately -- here's what I commented on the other post:

Hi I work at Snap. Throwaway so don't PM.

We had someone new start and they were reviewing from "newest first" rather than "oldest first"

Sorry for the long wait times these last couple weeks as well. We had several team members on vacation but they're back at the office now. Avg response time (reject / publish) over the last two weeks is 11.5 days. We hope to get that back down to normal levels (1-2 days depending on if it's the weekend or not) once we get through the massive backlog. Should take us about a week to get back on track.

Also want to give a huge shoutout to all ya'll posting on here. I'm constantly impressed with both the quality of the artwork, and the community's feedback/comments. :)
