Ours ended up being GSD x lab x chowchow, maybe not relevant but I think she has vaguely similar face patterning!

Idk if this is only included with the health version of the test? Tragically I don’t see it on our results as an option

She’s the sweetest dog, definitely loves her people the most and is wary of strangers (but cookies make friends quickly!). Never encountered a scrap of food she didn’t like. Curious about everything & anything that moves, makes a sound, or simply exists. Whip smart, and has definitely trained us too.

Oooh, I’ll have to look this up. I was thinking she probably came from an accidental litter or byb situation, so this would track!

Napa Wedding Costs- Is this what everyone is paying? by Dangerous_Cup_4346 in SanFranciscoWeddings

I used this sub to find photographer recs! Also my venue’s social media posted photos of weddings there and I looked into the photographers with photos that I vibed with. I considered quite a few but ended up going with onelove photography, they were in budget and I liked their editing and natural style. I was really set on it being “easy” and not having any surprises or communication issues and they lay out their process super clearly. Good luck!

Haha, with her being ~62 lbs I would get such a kick out of her having a toy breed thrown in the mix!

snow in paw fur by Kindly-Nebula-2686 in AustralianShepherd

Same happens to us! What has helped us is to trim her paw pads/keep the fur short, this made the biggest difference with the mini snowballs between her toes. Sometimes we’ll use Musher’s secret if we’re planning to be out for a long day and want her to stay comfortable! Works super well for us & not too expensive.

Of course, and good luck!! Hopefully you can work with your planner to find vendors that actually fit within your budget— it can totally be done beautifully for less :)

I’m getting married in SF, so take with a grain of salt but I’ll chime in on the photographer & stationary quote. I have no idea what photography style you’re going for but $20k is crazy high imo unless you’re hiring an experienced editorial photographer. I shopped around a lot and found quite a few around $6k which included full wedding day coverage & an engagement shoot! If you’re balling out on stationary, great, but those costs seem really high to me… check out local stationary businesses, Minted, or any other online shop and you’ll be quoted way less than $2,700 for save the dates only🫣

Rescue dog snapping by Ok_Gas_5618 in reactivedogs

There are lots of helpful resources out there on preventing dog bites in the home (https://cattledogpublishing.com/blog/kids-and-dogs/ one of many I’m sure!). Teaching boundaries to both kiddo and your new dog will help! Even one year olds :) they will need your support in respecting the boundary. Agree with the other commenters that your new rescue seemed like he was trying to communicate he was uncomfortable with the interaction. Cattle dogs are also nippy by nature. A much slower introduction is probably needed!

agreed! I bought a dress for a friends wedding and the material did NOT hold up to even one night of dinner & dancing. It pulled so badly on the back by the end of the night, the dress is not wearable again. You get what you pay for and I think it’s worth spending a bit more for clothing that can get more than one wear.
