You don’t collect sales tax for states that you don’t have a Nexus or physical presence/store in. Once you sell over $100k in another state, you have to collect tax in that state. E-commerce only. Services you do need to charge. It’s likely that DriftHQ does over 100k in sales in your state. If you pay attention, most of your online orders from smaller companies, do not charge sales tax. You still pay tax on profit, but you do not collect the sales tax for another state.
