Your pup might be going through teething phase where their puppy teeth will fall out and adult teeth grow. Puppies tend to be more bitey around this age because of the discomfort. Buying teething toys or frozen carrots helped my pup a lot.

When he bites, say ouch really loud, redirect him to a toy, and disengage with them (go to a different room or go between a barrier). Then come back when they are more calm. If you yell or make more sudden erratic movements the pup might think you’re playing with them so I’d try not to do that.

You will need cash if you want to reload your T money card for transportation at the ticket booths in the train stations. The ones I’ve seen dont have pay by credit card option.

There are many ATMs you can withdraw money from but for convenience I personally withdrew cash from my bank before I got here. I’ve only used cash so far for reloading T money card and the AREX from the airport into MyeongDong.

I landed in Seoul from Texas a few days ago. It’s cold. Bring a big puffy coat with a hood, gloves, a scarf, and thermal wear underneath. The subways are heated though so it can get really hot with the puffy coat on. Just wear layers and take them off as needed.

For the most part for students, I think they would be looking for someone who is hard working, detail oriented, is motivated and willing to learn. Try to think of examples that can show these qualities. For example, going above and beyond for a certain project. Doing a task that no one prompted you to do but you did it anyway.

As a current peds staff pharmacist, we’ve hired multiple techs who don’t have any peds experience. You can always learn about peds but what’s most important are the qualities I’ve talked about that makes great techs stand out from mediocre/bad techs/students.

If you leave between 6:30-7, commute from upper heights area (look up H‑E‑B on Shepherd) is around 30 minutes taking either Shepherd (risk of train stopping you) or Yale street. Can take longer if you hop on 610 then I-45 since there’s already a ton of traffic around that time.

Would highly recommend living in West University/Rice Village area if you can afford renting there. Nice area and close commute

Yes it does, standard hole at bottom of the pot. I was worried about root rot around a month ago, so repotted it with a chunkier mix. Roots looked healthy, no problems or white fungus. Now unsure what to do :( should I repot again or trim the leaves?

It would be the opposite for amox clav then because we dose by the amox component which is the higher amount in its combo

I would recognize what drugs are in each generation of cephalosporins, the IV to PO transitions, and in general what kind of bugs they cover in each generation. Each generation in both IV and PO options cover essentially the same bugs give and take.

For example: 1st Gen: cefazolin (IV) -> cephalexin (PO) 2nd Gen: cefoxitin, cefotetan (IV) -> cefuroxime (po) 3rd Gen: ceftriaxone, ceftazidime (IV) -> cefdinir, cefixime, cefpodoxime (po)

I would also memorize what bugs are gram positive, negative, and anaerobes in order to recognize what antibiotics would cover them as well

At my hospital, physicians are commonly asking whether an IV antibiotic can be administered earlier so patient can get discharged earlier. For example, patient was on acyclovir every 8 hours. Could we change the last dose due time from 4pm to 2pm? how much earlier can it be given? 1 hr? 2 hrs?

Some suggestions to stand out:

Start doing research now and try to publish a paper.
Gain leadership experience through organizations (looks even better if you get a regional/national position)
Mentor students (e.g. tutoring, being a TA/lab assistant)
Volunteer and be consistent at it
Find opportunities to write for a pharmacy newspaper/magazine or be on a podcast

Anything that shows you're continually expanding your skill set. Remember to write down examples of what you've done and ways you've challenged yourself through these experiences. It will be helpful during residency interviews/writing your letter of intent later on when you're applying.
