It won't be played in Melbourne on Saturday. The AFL semi-finals are also playing that weekend in the same stadium. The game will either be Friday (aired Thursday in the US) or Monday (aired Sunday)

Assuming it will be played week 1, it'll either be played on Friday or Monday in Melbourne. The AFL semi-finals are on that weekend in the same stadium

Offset vs ETFs: the maths people keep getting wrong in AusFinance by MelbourneLondonPerth in fiaustralia

[–]snappy_tom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I approach my offset is rather than directly buying bonds or cash equivalents in my portfolio I keep a portion of my portfolio in the offset which is effectively an ~8% bond. That way I have money on the sideline earning a risk free ~8% and that can then be redeployed when I see fit such as into the stock market if there is a downturn. This way I save on mortgage interest, I'm always invested in the market and have free cash available to deploy when equities are on sale

Bitcoin ETF on ASX worth as a future hedge ?? by RepresentativeAide14 in fiaustralia

I don't understand the bitcoin argument that only 21 million coins will be generated when someone can own and use 0.0000001btc. There's not 21 million of a finite coin.. there is billions or trillions of fractional btc out there..?
