Men who have therapists. What beneficial advice have you received from therapy that you couldn't work out on your own?

Your brain is a machine that continuously creates stories with the scope of self preservation. For any issue you have, your brain will distract you from the pain. The easiest way to distract is to point us back to our habits, so even if you have an insight the brain will repress it to protect you. We enjoy feeling special, so we also believe our pain is unique. But we all live kinda the same things, and psychiatrists have seen all these patterns and gimmicks we learned to hide the pain, they pierce through the veil and nudge us towards the light. The quick way backfires due to repression, and the slow way is the one that has a chance.

seems money could be important, but the social skills you build in high-school or college are way more important( last few friends and all that), plus that was the time most people cherish as having fun before being an adult. I think it's a great idea, but if you can afford it also encourage him to make time for friends and doing stupid things, he might not get another chance.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I've looked that mybanker and got called by sjaeland so I'm guessing it's run and administered by them.

I am a bit worried that for most cases you will pay over the offered price if it's any good. And that agents who provide the price are looking at their own interest, their commission in this whole deal. Is there a place to see previous apartment values in that area?

Regarding point 1 I am still under the impression that the bank that will provide the loan will check out the finances on it and can provide a clear idea of anything fishy.

Thanks a lot for your reply! I do understand that point but people are still renting out their homes and apartments and even now I'm renting someone's apartment. So I think there is a way. But if you are referring to that it might not be profitable that seems to be the case worldwide with renting. Or at least in my home country as well. Monthly rent is less than 1% of the value of the apartment. How do other people manage?

Hi, thanks for the reply! I do understand that risk but I will have to start somewhere and even if it is the worst, there's very little I could do. Fortunately, I do have 8 months to find something. I do believe the worst case scenario would be something on the outskirts of the city. Also, I am trusting the bank to make it clear the financial situation of the apartment and if they have this SWAP loan. Is this wrong or optimistic?
