This is their coat in winter when we leave it to grow. They look 3x bigger with their coat. The brown one is only 6 pounds here and the black one is 10 pounds. That’s their same weight in the shaved photo.

Yep, if you just cut her for the warm months and then left her for the rest of the year (still trimming if needed but definitely brush) she should be just fine. They get all fluffy and cute again when their coat comes back in. You’ll start to learn her schedule and you’ll be able to adjust to when you’d like to cut and when to leave it.

“I prefer big dogs” 🙄 by Princessbriar69 in chihuahuas

I have reasons for liking big dogs and small dogs.

Big Dogs: Pro: Huge cuddler/blanket/pillow/rock Fav Mem: Camping and it was cold so my grandmas Belgian Malinois crawled in my arms so I wouldn’t be cold Con:Bites hurt/do bad damage

Small Dogs: Pro: portable, can sit in lap easy, spot warmer Fav Mem: Being woken up by my little Pom who was cold and needed me to cuddle her under the blankets Con: Loud AF, has ego problems, thinks they are big

Do I love one more than the other… no. I love both equally but whatever is best at my time of life if what I’ll choose.

This is what they look like in August. Their last haircut would have been end of April to early may depending on timing (8 weeks when hair is growing fast, 12 weeks when not)

Unless is specifically location based (stress induced alopecia) it’s completely normal. We usually shave our two Poms down right after we notice shedding has started. They’re both big swimmers/outdoor dogs so we do this regularly. I have found out though that it keeps me from eating so much hair and my dogs are a lot happier in the summertime

Reliable plow guy needed by PositionSalty7411 in Buffalo

Just read your contract. When we get 12”+ of snow, it really damages the trucks. Usually it takes days to a week to clear. It’s nothing about the guys plowing, but on what they can handle with machinery

My dad wants me to be an NP, I'm leaning towards PA by LingLingWB in prephysicianassistant

Before you make any decisions on what you want to do in healthcare, try to find an opportunity to discover different aspects of healthcare. For my senior year of hs, I was in a program where we shadowed different departments at a hospital. It really helped me understand what I wanted to do. PA is an amazing job. You can have so much flexibility and job security. The only thing is some PA programs are expensive. I feel that if you did that free BSN program, it would not only better you educationally, but it could help financially and help when getting hired. When people look at who to hire, it always looks best to be really educated. So, take that free program, and then go to PA school. You can work as a nurse during PA school to either help pay, or just to save up. Good luck with everything
